Well i dont feel like breaking any tabs when i try to take it off. Roughly where are the tabs that hold it in place? Any tips? tia

Yeah i just went out there and got most of it and thought to myself why i even made a thread.

But i am haveing trouble figureing out how the clothes hanger tab comes off.

But theres the 2 torx bolts for the seatbelts, 1 tab that popped out a little above the door striker on said panel, 1 screw behind the seatbelt cover..

Thats as far as i got during my smoke break. Now i have to pull it back into the garage as i took it out an hour ago cuase i got frustrated w/ another project.

So any tips on the hanger would be great.

No need to remove sail pannels. The speaker grills pop right off and offer full access.

I did the covers but i need some more room. And i want to mount the x-overs behind it and a little deadner.

The hangers are held on by a screw. The screw is covered by the outside rubber covering. Use a 90 degree pick or small screw driver. Insert the pick in the bottom and pull toward you and up. You will see the screw. I found it easier to get the screw without taking the rubber all the way off cause it's reall on there. Hope this helps.

At the base of the hanger, pull the cover back and you should see a phillips head screw behind the cover. It's rubbery and flexible.

Actually I thought the same, but 2nd gen must be different, there is no screw plug cover or anything covering up a screw as you would think, and I was not going to screw mine up to find out. At least that is how mine is by just taking a glance at it.

I don't know how I missed your post answering that before I typed it. Too many beers....

Well, I have no idea then unless the whole hanger turns. It's attached somehow.

I just interior swapped my 98 and it had the rubber cover and screw. You really gotta pull on it to get it to give. It will actually come all the way off leaving a white plastic hook with a screw in it.

Thats cool, I just took a peek at mine before I responded to O/P and saw no door or plug to lift out to get to the screw as most are designed. And I had no reason to go messing with mine and end up snapping it or something then I would be pissed at myself for the stupid.

ASMBLYLINE is correct. Once you've removed the seatbelt torx and the long Phillips screw, you will be surprised at how easy they come out.

Do all the speaker covers pop out for easy speaker changes on 2 gens, doors and rear panels?

To access front speakers you must pull door panel. That cover has tabs part of the grill that bend behind the panel.

Thanks for the help guys.. I did have to pull on the tab w/ a set of pliers to get it off.

But when i got the panel off i notices a little water on the very bottom by the rocker. Maybe like a tablespoons worth, barely anything but still. Then went out side to inspect and found a sliver of rust forming(pea size). Ima sand what little is there and cover it up..I cant say i'm surprised to find it though, the cars 14 years old. My marquis was a year newer and 10 times worse on the front fenders.
