Ok guys, maybe someone on here might be interested in this "reverse" cross Gen. I happen to know the owner, met him at a few local car shows. This is indeed a 1996 black on black LSC that was involved in a front end collision. (I don't know the extent of the collision, I assume it wasn't big.) Instead of finding the original '96 LSC parts, he told me he liked the newer Gen 2 look anyway so he preferred to "change" the nose.

Here's the ad. I recall he did have some electrical issues after the rebuild including some VCRM issues due to some wires that were cut in the actual accident but he resolved the problem the last time I spoke to the guy. His name is David.

Looks very clean.

These cars sure can carry a lot of diversity. For me that's the worst combination. Gen2 nose on a Gen1 tail.. no!

Good thing he didn't post any rear shots, that would be a quick way to turn off potential buyers.

Thank you! Not a bad price and it does look nice on the inside but that nose is killing it for me. Would I have it? Yes but prefer the Gen 1 nose to be on it.

That's EXACTLY the way I feel.

He did, it's on the 2nd ad.

Ewww, other way around perhaps... thats just not right, the front lights look 1000x bigger than the rear, awful...

Agreed. I know it's just a matter of taste, but to me the Gen 2 front end looks stubby and boring, while the Gen 1 front end looks like a shark going in for the kill.
