well luckily they didn't break the window, because i forgot to lock the car - my drivers side door was open. (car down the street was not so luckily glass all over the place). But the stooped theif took my power inveter that plugs in the rear cig lighter but not the cable (it was plugged in!)

also they nabbed my head unit's faceplace but not the faceplate. how stupid. too boot they popped my hood, but didn't :q:q:q:q with anything under the hood! i noticed that it was adulterated when i looked out my window and saw that my hood was adjar. im so pissed, i'm hoping they come back tonight for the head unit and find me lying in the back with a magnum

yea but the car has to be armed, and i didn't because i was planning on going to a buddys but he bailed on me kinda left me hanging so i wound up not going out and fell asleep. i secretly blame him! im like conidtioned to lock my car! but because I was expecting to be coming back out to my car to go somewhere i didn't lock it. ehh i have full coverage with 100 dollar deductable but they didn't take anything really worth a lot of money. I'm hoping they come back for the rest of the head unit because what the hell does someone do with a faceplate with out the rest of the unit?

you got lucky. when someone robbed my bronco. they smashed the window. i guess they never bothered to check either one of the doors becuase they were both open. however i must say other then that they were pretty polight. they took the time to properly removie the head unit and disconnect the harness. and unmount my amps and speakers for me. after that i drove around for about 2 years with out any sound in my truck out of spite for being robbed. after that i broke down and installed a good alarm. one with an auto arm feature that way even if i forgot to push the button 30 seconds after the door was closed it activated. alarms are very cheap now. you can get a nice 2 way paging (which i strongly suggest) system with remote start and all the neat stuff for 200 bucks or less. if you wanna pay a little bit more you can get one that will actually call your cell phone as well.

You wouldn't have that problem if you had a reputation of being a badass. :D I tested the theory. I live in jersey across the street from 7-11 and mcdonalds is a couple houses down. Not a nice neighborhood. lol. I parked my bright orange F-350 out front with the doors unlocked and a prescription bag on the front seat. I layed a toothpick on it to make sure if someone messed with it i would know. Let it sit overnight. nothing was touched.

So i parked my Laforza out there with all the doors unlocked for a week. Nice head unit on that one. nothing:cool:

I did this to prove to the wife that no one will mess with us, and luckily, I convinced her:p

If you guys ever met me, you would realize it takes a whole lotta crazy to make people scared of someone my size. LMAO:facesjump

That sucks. At least they didn't trash it. I live in sleepy little BFE town and know all the thieves, most of em already locked up ;).

had my alarm been armed if they would have broke my window i was sleeping on the couch, it would have been on. i hope they come back again for the rest of the head unit

It's perfectly legal here and a few other places to use deadly force when protecting your property, even if you kill the suspect

Castle law

God bless the South!!! :rebelflag:Being stationed in jersey, if someone broke in to my house and i shot him with a gun that wasn't registered in this state, i could go to prison. F@#$ jersey:mad:

yea, i live in IL..no castle law and a non carry state.

Alabama, it looks like I would just have to shoot them in each leg 2 or 3 times or sleep in the car according to the below law. Forensics are hell these days.

In the process of unlawfully and forcefully entering, or has unlawfully and forcefully entered, a dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle, or federally licensed nuclear power facility, or is in the process of sabotaging or attempting to sabotage a federally licensed nuclear power facility, or is attempting to remove, or has forcefully removed, a person against his or her will from any dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle when the person has a legal right to be there, and provided that the person using the deadly physical force knows or has reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry or unlawful and forcible act is occurring.

yea castle law only applies to your house I thought. Because thats why no nock warrants are so dangerous because in pa once someone breaks the plane of your door you can use deadly force even if you don't know who it is because of the king of the castle docterine. but yea everything changes when your not in your house because you have to be basically be having to be in fear for your life and backed into a corner with no means to escape before you can open fire with out any worries. Because they can say well if you pulled the gun out why didn't you call the police and try to flee ya know. I got the gyst of this from a class I took on freedoms vs authority or something like that. The shooting someone is legit if they are breaking in, but if they are leaving your house its a whole nother story as well. It's very iffy on the details when you pull the trigger to whether or not your going to be the one going to jail.
