Quick Pull

wow wow wow guys, it is everyone's time of the month?

chill out guys well all have the same cars. and we all have the same motor (just about).

calm down guys, we are all Lincoln owners here, and we aren't on facebook. lets all try to act are age.

Just like you said. That was a street vid not a track vid. AND it sure looked like a 14 sec car in said vid. In reality 13s is slow. When my car shifts at near 7k the ass kicks out to right and the smell of hot rubber hit my nostrils. I have no idea what my car runs or puts to the ground. But I would take the Pepsi challenge against any NA Gen2. Just my 2 cents.
Sorry guy you started it. This isn't ribbing when you don't know someone well. Its just disrespectful. And the part about the ass kicks out and the smell of hot rubber has been the war cry of every slow delusional person I have meet that thinks he has a hot ride but doesn't. Because in actuality they usually just have no clue about good tires and suspension set up. Example mine doesn't spin or chirp at all from a kick down. So this doesn't help your case. And 13 sec for a mid 90's 4000lb street car is fast. Like i said it was just disrespectful.

Jesus!

Jesus! ---- I woulda liked to be a fly on the back bumper listening to that thing scream!!

Chit, I'm so over it. I just got back from the gym and I feel great! LOL I only intended for this to be a fun video thread and I don't appreciate people minimizing the work that has gone into my car. If you go back in the thread I didn't have a mean response to philly's first comment until all the bullchit and bench racing started. People like that annoy the chit out of me. It can be quite the reality check once you're at the tree. I told myself a long time ago before I ever hit the track that I was going to run 13s. It never happened like that. Once you experience this you learn to shut your mouth and go back to the drawing board which is exactly what I did. I haven't gone past the valve covers on this car and ran mid 13s with over 140k miles on a chitty mail order tune. End of story. I have track videos and timeslips because I'm not a bench racer. Thanks to everyone for the comments that were actually sensible. :)

Amazing how one video can go from "Just That" to an almost all out war lol. I had a video posted on youtube of my completely stock 95 with the Z2 PCM doing a 0-60 in right at 6.4 to 6.2 with stock gears but some ass came running to it and claimed I was running downhill lol. I just removed the video and could care less. I drive it and I know what it is capable of, as is. I have never been to the track and can't claim any certain times and I never will most likely because in the end, it's not going to make me any money at the track, if it's faster than the other guy or not.

In my book, built to the hilt is when you have a hole cut out of your hood or no hood and running some 7 - 9 sec 1/4's. It just doesn't pay to argue with anyone. That's why I removed my video because 0-60 doesn't even matter and even at 6.4 sec, that's nothing to brag about so, why even argue with a douche about it. Not calling anyone on here a douche btw. I'm talking about the youtube troll I had.

Philly, I for one would like to see under your hood though. We all like seeing built motors on these cars. If you have it, show it. If i had it, better believe I'd post it up or keep it hush hush and put up about 2K for a straight up race against the person on here you think you can beat.

Gotta part number on those?

No but here are the specs....272/278-278/282 , .275/275-285/285. They have been out of production for a long time.

As far as everyone else, I will post some pics when I have access to more than just my phone. And I never meant to minimize anything KS or anyone else has done to their car. I never put the new engine in my progress thread because I didn't build it. I bought it off a guy that was having Anderson Motorsport drop a crate motor in place of the mark engine he had built. He offered it for $1500 bucks to my buddy Chad who was doing the swap. He called me and told me about it and all the work they had done to it, so no brainer, I swooped it up. As far as the other mods they were in my sig when I first joined. I did most of that stuff back in 05-06 when I first bought the car.

272/278-278/282 , .275/275-285/285 is what he wrote on the list right after modified IMRC's Isky split pattern phase 3 cams deg'ed comp cam springs.

Those are the duration numbers, and even then, they aren't written correctly. I'm guessing you don't know the lift specs?

By looking at those #'s I'm guessing the intake cam valve 1 duration of 272,intake 2 valve duration 278, CAM LOBE LIFT .275. then same for exh 278/282 duration with .285 lift. Yes or no?

If follower ratio on 4.6 is 1.6 (i think) valve lift is .275X1.6= .440 lift and .285X1.6=.456 lift

The 4.6L DOHC rocker ratio is either 1.79 or 1.81, depending upon who you believe.

To the OP...nice car, moves out. Wish mine had a little more oomph. Already ordered my SCT chip though :D
