Question About Price??

???WTF???

REMOVE the engine to replace the coils?

Frogman:ikuntspul

wtf?? remove the engine to replace coils ?? dont understand why you put wtf or the question mark. I'm not good with cars at all so when he said that"you need to remove engine to get to engine coils" I said ok I'll get back to you and I tried to get further info.

using that link it's looks pretty easy, my only question is when I do that is this considered a complete tuneup. He also mentioned a tuneup now if I was able to remove coils I would still need a tuneup correct?(sorry if its a dumb question agian I know very little about cars)

Pretty much. Tuneups are just checking/replacing the normal expendable parts of the engine: Plugs/coils/gaskets, fuel filter, change oil, air filter, check fluids/lubricants etc. If you can do the spark plugs, you can easily do the rest on the list.

Hey Frogman-I have only been a LS owner for about three years. Before that I owned a Celica, a Camaro, and a bunch of other poor car choices. I love the LS. It's a 2001 V8 and since I bought it I have done alot of custom work too it. I am really good with body mods but never really started to get into the technical aspect until recently. I have recieved alot of valuable advice and saved alot of money from this forum. I don't thinks it's very cool of you to trash talk the people on this site the way you do at times. Some people are dumb or can't spell, granted, but they still need answers. Why do you do that? It makes the rest of the LS owners on this site seem like A-holes. And as a direct result a LS owner may give up on the dream because he can't find the much needed advice a lesser person who may not have alot of financial stability may need. Then they buy a Honda. This forum isn't for people who know everything or there would be very little to talk about. Sorry if you don't agree.

frogman, it's all your fault that dumb people that cant spell buy HONDAS!

now THAT makes perfect sense and explains ALOT.

lsdarkshadow, you said people are "dumb and cant spell" that is much worse than Frogman calling them "Lazy" for poor spelling and sentence structure.

Frogman HAS helped many people, with many issues.

If I go back and read all your posts since your arrival "not too long ago" will I find you "helping people".. or "just asking questions"?

AS I thought the majority of your posts ARE questions, seeking help from the collective knowledge of this forum.

when you start "contributing", then and ONLY then should you call out folks that do spend time on here SPOONFEEDING newbies.

IF you dont like the way Frogman holds the babyfood spoon then feel free to PICK UP A SPOON and start shoveling info down their hungry little throats.

After a couple of years, YOU TOO.. will see exactly where Frogman is coming from.

HAHA Pete I love your avatar :-D

Hey Frogman-I have only been a LS owner for about three years.

Good for you...? I guess?

Before that I owned a Celica, a Camaro, and a bunch of other poor car choices.

I'm glad to see you pulled your head out of your ass and bought a nice vehicle.

I love the LS. It's a 2001 V8 and since I bought it I have done alot of custom work too it.

Ok.

I am really good with body mods but never really started to get into the technical aspect until recently. I have recieved alot of valuable advice and saved alot of money from this forum.

Good to hear, I suppose. How about you spend a little of that money and get yourself a nice shiny Gold LvC Membership then?

I don't thinks it's very cool of you to trash talk the people on this site the way you do at times. Some people are dumb or can't spell, granted, but they still need answers.

And you think I care about what your opinion is, why again? What you may perceive as trash, I perceive as telling it like I see it. If you have a problem with that, well, then you're just going to have to learn to get over it.

Here's a very novel idea that hasn't been around for too long. If you don't like what I have to say, you can use the "ignore" button. It's a really neat feture the forums have built into them.

Why do you do that?

Because I can. Last I checked, this is still a free country. I'm not going to bring up the whole freedom of speech thing, since that doesn't apply here. I will tell it like I see it until an Admin tell me to knock it off. You're more than welcome to petition an admin to do so. Until then, I will say what's on my mind, and neither you nor the thought police will be able to do anything about it.

It makes the rest of the LS owners on this site seem like A-holes.

That's because some LS owners here are idiots. Now, with that said, a most of them are actually decent guys.

And as a direct result a LS owner may give up on the dream because he can't find the much needed advice a lesser person who may not have alot of financial stability may need.

As a direct result? Really? So, then let me get this straight. Someone acts like an idiot with their 2nd grade spelling skills and their kindergarten attitude (mine's a 4th grate attitude, get it straight) on the internet, then when someone says something about their idiocy they will go buy another car? Maybe they shouldn't drive a Lincoln if they can't even spell it. How about that?

The search feature works well if this hypothetical person you speak of knows what he/she is looking for. And there's a 99.9999992% chance that the problem has been covered here before... several times over. But when this hypothetical person is too damned lazy or too effing stupid to do a little searching before he posts a new thread on how to change lug nuts, or what the biggest bling bling wheel he can put on his LS, or why his original valve cover gasket LS is missing, then this person will come across as either a tool, or a lazy SOB. Take your pick. What makes it worse is when this person types like he's (again), in the second grade, or when he thinks that typng lk ths 2 be cul is actually impressing most people then when someone says something about it, they get all sorts of worked up. And damn it, I enjoy getting people worked up, both online and in the real world. Part of my... skills, if you will.

Then they buy a Honda.

You know what they say... "Speed kills. Buy a slow Honda"

This forum isn't for people who know everything or there would be very little to talk about.

This forum is not for people who know everything. I agree with you. Besides, people who think they know everything are annoying to people who actually do know everything, such as myself. :D

But this forum is also not here for someone to come in, ask a stupid question, get his/her answer, then go away until their next problem. We're a community of Lincoln (and some Cadillac) enthusiasts. There is more to this forum that coming in, registering, telling us how you've been lurking for years, but you just now decided to register because you have a question, then get your question answered and disappear again.

Sorry if you don't agree.

I don't agree, but I also don't much care. You have your opinions (naive as they may be), and I have mine.

He's not going to get rid of his LS on my account, don't you worry.

You mean that you have done a lot of custom work to it. Frogman, I can't believe you didn't catch that.

:D

I did, but I wasn't going to go that route.

Boo Hoo.

A (low end) Honda is all some people deserve.
