Hey Frogman-I have only been a LS owner for about three years.
Good for you...? I guess?
Before that I owned a Celica, a Camaro, and a bunch of other poor car choices.
I'm glad to see you pulled your head out of your ass and bought a nice vehicle.
I love the LS. It's a 2001 V8 and since I bought it I have done alot of custom work too it.
Ok.
I am really good with body mods but never really started to get into the technical aspect until recently. I have recieved alot of valuable advice and saved alot of money from this forum.
Good to hear, I suppose. How about you spend a little of that money and get yourself a nice shiny Gold LvC Membership then?
I don't thinks it's very cool of you to trash talk the people on this site the way you do at times. Some people are dumb or can't spell, granted, but they still need answers.
And you think I care about what your opinion is, why again? What you may perceive as trash, I perceive as telling it like I see it. If you have a problem with that, well, then you're just going to have to learn to get over it.
Here's a very novel idea that hasn't been around for too long. If you don't like what I have to say, you can use the "ignore" button. It's a really neat feture the forums have built into them.
Because I can. Last I checked, this is still a free country. I'm not going to bring up the whole freedom of speech thing, since that doesn't apply here. I will tell it like I see it until an Admin tell me to knock it off. You're more than welcome to petition an admin to do so. Until then, I will say what's on my mind, and neither you nor the thought police will be able to do anything about it.
It makes the rest of the LS owners on this site seem like A-holes.
That's because some LS owners here are idiots. Now, with that said, a most of them are actually decent guys.
And as a direct result a LS owner may give up on the dream because he can't find the much needed advice a lesser person who may not have alot of financial stability may need.
As a direct result? Really? So, then let me get this straight. Someone acts like an idiot with their 2nd grade spelling skills and their kindergarten attitude (mine's a 4th grate attitude, get it straight) on the internet, then when someone says something about their idiocy they will go buy another car? Maybe they shouldn't drive a Lincoln if they can't even spell it. How about that?
The search feature works well if this hypothetical person you speak of knows what he/she is looking for. And there's a 99.9999992% chance that the problem has been covered here before... several times over. But when this hypothetical person is too damned lazy or too effing stupid to do a little searching before he posts a new thread on how to change lug nuts, or what the biggest bling bling wheel he can put on his LS, or why his original valve cover gasket LS is missing, then this person will come across as either a tool, or a lazy SOB. Take your pick. What makes it worse is when this person types like he's (again), in the second grade, or when he thinks that typng lk ths 2 be cul is actually impressing most people then when someone says something about it, they get all sorts of worked up. And damn it, I enjoy getting people worked up, both online and in the real world. Part of my... skills, if you will.
You know what they say... "Speed kills. Buy a slow Honda"
This forum isn't for people who know everything or there would be very little to talk about.
This forum is not for people who know everything. I agree with you. Besides, people who think they know everything are annoying to people who actually do know everything, such as myself.
But this forum is also not here for someone to come in, ask a stupid question, get his/her answer, then go away until their next problem. We're a community of Lincoln (and some Cadillac) enthusiasts. There is more to this forum that coming in, registering, telling us how you've been lurking for years, but you just now decided to register because you have a question, then get your question answered and disappear again.
Sorry if you don't agree.
I don't agree, but I also don't much care. You have your opinions (naive as they may be), and I have mine.
