I will be taking the 97 on the first 2 stops if the car is ready that is if not we will be taking prochargedlsc's 96 daily driver i hope to meet maby a few from here.

I'll have my XR7 on the Champaign, IL, to Gateway leg of the tour. A big group of TBU (Thunderbird SC) guys will be doing the full tour.

the last two days in my experience is when the burnouts happen

map. im waiting for a coastal tour, i know they use the middle of the country so its easier for everyone (distancewise) but its the summer. around the great lakes, west coast, east coast, the gulf coast. you know, summer beaches, water cruisin the strip by the beach. anyways......

WELL that's really lame that they wouldn't stop somewhere in or around chicago since it's on the damn way..the hot rod power tour came to arlington race track (1/2 mile from my house) back in 04..too bad it rained all day..would be nice if that were one of the stops again.

They will never stop near chicago. The point is to stay on as many 2 lane highways as possible. No one wants to fight traffic in their hot rods.

And no one really wants to drive all that much on the interstate either.

The more rural the route, the better I like it.

I didnt mean IN chicago but around..they would probably get more of a turnout. Like I said they came to Arlington Park back in 03 or 04 cant remember which year exactly..which is 20-30 miles outside chicago. All depends on which day and time of day you are traveling around larger cities.

well you have US 1 that goes all the way from key west mile 0 all the way to old orchard beach maine. east coast then A1A that goes along the beach the whole way and where there are no towns goes back to US 1 and/or 95 for 5-10 miles and back to the beach the east coast 'rural' route.

As i write this im starring at are beautiful fairfield inn parking lot
We are not putting the car in the show so my buddy's 96 lsc will be seen
on the streets sitting all alone.

when they had the iowa city to springfield il run in 10. i took over 900 photos of cars coming down the road to a stop sign. had a ball because from the stop sign to the bridge over the illinois river was a wide open shot of 3/4 mile. no houses and giving the spinup sign had plenty of smokers. after about 5 hours the county sent a deputy to flag them thru the stop sign. gave him a pepsi to drink and he said where did the black marks come from and i replied your not that dumb and he laughed and smiled. they had traffic backed up to the hill dropping in to the river valley at the stop sign for two mile so they had to clear the jammup. jd
