Power tour

Just wondering if anyone is doing the power tour right now? They started in FL this year and are head up to MI. If I would have known that that they were going to do THIS at their first stop, I would have plucked some cash off my money tree and headed down there. Lucky bastards!

If you went, or are still on it, Post some pics of the mark or whatever you got rolling on the pavement! Next year I will be at Sheppard AFB but hopefully the year after I can make it.

Yikes! Think secondary chain broke or maybe a sproket?

I once saw a Cobra do that. His tensioner had the guide rubbed through and the chain ripped a chunk of the aluminum off the guide and threw the chunk into the cam sproket blowing the chain apart and busted the cover similar to yours but made a big hole.

Man you have not been having the best Mark luck as of late.

The car will be on the trailer tomorrow headed to the shop or home.

If I take it home, I'll pull the valve cover and see what happened, then take it to a shop.

That red lsc was me and I made the whole tour, We auto crossed it (well kinda on stock suspension atm ) and drag raced it in Valdosta Ga. , Made a lap at Indy in it and made laps ant the GM proving grounds. Car had 95 on it when I rolled out and now has more than 98 It used 1/2 a quart of oil the whole trip (and the drag strip was not the only wot pulls ) and ran most of the trip with the ac on still getting 23-24 mpg and the whole time I had a light miss/ hesitation and the comp has not been flashed for the 3:55s's yet .
Next year we are going from Detroit to Arlington Texas . I dare you guys to come join me!! (although I will be in my 68 cougar if all goes well (lsc is plan b))

It was hot as hades and I was just about to throw in the towel when I saw your car enter the autocross line. I stood there for almost eternity just to see you run. By then I had to trek back to the cooler and get some liquid refreshment. The girls were past ready to leave the heat and get to a nice cool hotel room by that time.
