Picked up a new Lincoln.

Stuff for this truck is actually cheap...thats why. And i had that headunit collecting dust for over a year. Today i went to pepboys and for $12 i went from the ugly long factory antenna to what should have came on this truck. Well i wish it were an in glass antenna being a Lincoln but this will do. doesn't seem to affect reception, but i can go back to the old antenna if necessary.

That ugly sun faded wiper cowl is being replaced as well. And chrome turn signal bulbs are on their way.

I really want some new wheels but only way that can happen is if i sell the set of wheels i picked up for the LS back in November. Looking at some 22" black rhino wheels.

Congrats on the purchase.

That faded plastic part can just be painted with satin black paint. I did this to my ls and it looks great. You get a nice dark black and low gloss look just like stock when new.

Yeah but I'm too OCD for paint and the end of the plastic trim has some rubber weatherstripping that goes with it. That stuff just fell apart so I ordered an entire new cowl.

Guys have painted it over on the F-150 Forums though.

I missed this thread. Very nice purchase indeed! Side by side photo shoot coming?

Soon yes. I need to wash up the LS. Havent touched it in a week or so. Been busy with the LT. Just replaced that cowl today but forgot to snap a pic.

Ive spent a lot of money on this truck already. It didn't have a keyfob (seriously) and the only key they gave me was beat to hell. So i orded two new keys with fobs. I had to replace the cowl grille, added the tint, headunit, and needed an oil change. Last thing it needs is a new rear axle seal.

Transmission and all other fluids were serviced. And i plan on doing new pads and rotors all around. Brakes are good but the factory pads are dusty as hell. Going with some duralast gold cmax's.

Future mods are 22" wheels, bed cover and magnaflow SS muffler with dual 18" tips out the rear. Get some panels touched up and a full detail.

Yup, 18" long 4" wide tips.

Wheres the super duty pics at??

That'll look good.. RBP makes some nice truck tips

I'll have to get some this weekend.. I haven't gotten any since the new tires and such

I found a few kits on ebay that i like. drop in kits with only the tips needed welding. So easy to go back to stock if i get tired of it.

If i were to get rid of my LS, i would have traded it in and got the low mileage white 08 i was looking at with elite package. Or i would have got an 09+.

Got some more stuff on the way, no pics yet but replacing the stock steering wheel with a custom wood steering wheel. I miss my LS steering wheel so much, that i just have to get a wood one. Stock one is worn on the top, so i figured i might as well upgrade while im at it.

Also replacing the front windshield, got a quote from safe-lite for $320 done here at my apartment. Factory Carlite glass with blue tint.

Been looking at some wheels, trying to decide whether i want to go with a 20" wheel with an all season type tire, like the Destination A/T's i have now or a 22" wheel with a street type performance tire.

Don't want to lift it, maybe level it though? Not sure if i want to lower either. Also the front lower valance needs a respray, want to go with an XLT valance so i can get some chrome tow hooks installed along with tow mirrors. Makes no sense to me why they didn't put tow mirrors, or tow hooks on these trucks but they have a tow package with class IV receiver and transmission cooler.

Stereo system sounds pretty good so far, but it needs a bit more kick so im looking at a sub box for two 10's under the rear seat with a 500w rms amp.

A lot of insurance companies have a $100 deductible on windshield replacement, so going through them could save you some coin.

Already checked, not mine. They only cover chips/cracks with no deductible. Mine isnt cracked, just very pitted with a couple deep scratches. Bothers me in the sunlight.

Mine is $0 deductible on windshield, but it is a grandfathered policy.

Shouldn't be too hard to get it cracked...

Cracks pretty easy with a bump from the inside - not so much from the outside.

Jumped right to this post and it wasn't until I got to the wheels and tires until I figured out this thread was about your Mark. Forgot you got a nice addition a couple months back.

With leveling it would you get a kit or re-arc the rear springs. Not sure if you want to bring the front up or the rear down. My brother had his rear leafs(?) re-arced on his SD to level it out and it looks stellar!

Lol.

Yeah if i got the 20" wheel, i would bring up the front, and if i got the 22" wheel i would bring the rear down. The truck already sits kinda low for a truck, being the 2wd model. It sits slightly lower than my buddies 2wd 04 XLT.

I think to lower it from the rear all you need are some drop shackles. Dont know much about the suspension on these trucks, other than the front is multi-link and the rear is live axle with leafs.
