Did some research on straights for my LS

Im pretty happy with the Overall look and sound :)

Got some 24'' Exhaust tubing and Tips from Advanced and Oriley's

A whopping 35$ for all the Parts

Cut the Stock mufflers, Welded on the Exhaust Pipe and Riveted on the Tips.

Looks pretty clean IMO, Did some Cut-Outs for the Tips. Think I did pretty well off:)

Has cats and Resonators left on it..

Tell me what yall think!

The last two were just some cool ones :)

Personally I love it!, Alot of people say they dont like Striaghts on the LS, But it sounds pretty good to me! Up in the Higher RPMs when you really step on it, it cackles a little I guess, Pops? but IDC! I love the Lower RPMS, Just cruisin the Strip or goin through Pier Park. It deff Turns heads. People are like.. WTH.. a Lincoln!?

Lol.

Got alot of Complements on it and alot of Hell yeahs and WooHoos out cruisin the beach :)

looks good, keep plenty of wax on those tips. save you from replacing them every 6 months.

The last shots make it seem like the LS is an offroading vehicle. Attacking that hill like a boss!

Grats on the sound change. I'm planning on doing Magnaflow Cat-back on mine this fall. One of the few major mods left on my grocery list.

I agree im doing the same as well ;)

Looks good man!

It looks good! Did you have to do any bending?

Nope no bending whats so ever. Just 24'' of Straight 2 1/4 Exhaust Pipe, I do believe i used 2 1/4 if my memory stands me right.

Thanks for the complements.

And LoudLS, That dog is never impressed by anything except food. Lmfao

That's much better. How do you like the sound?

Looks good. I had those same tips. Till I installed the Magnaflow catback last month.

Anyone do straight pipes on a v6?

Don't know what that would sound like... but I'm sure it wouldn't be as good as the v8.

Maybe I'll keep the mufflers and cut out the cats....

I dont think you can cut the Cats, due to Computer issues, I.E O2 Sensors and whatnot.

I know there are some good mufflers for the V6 that makes it sound mean. But as for Straights.. I think it would sound like Shizzz. V8 is more of a muscly engine even though its small.. still has the 8 Cylinders to fire off of giving it that good Classic sound. V6.. Would sound like a honda probably lmfao

I'm seeing really good prices on magnaflow cat back's lately, might have to finally do it to it.

Ill get some megnas later but atm. This is fine for me for now while im broke

I can understand the being broke concept! Are you able to get an audio of the exhaust? sounds like what you did is a good econamical substitute for now. Just wondering how much of the popping noise you actually get.

I drove around for a couple hours with both no resonators and no mufflers, and with just no mufflers on my V6 Sport. way too loud with nothing there, and way to raspy with no mufflers.

A good tight seal on all of the exhaust joints keeps the raspy-ness to a minimum.

The magnaflows sound pretty good (video as soon as I have time, with the newborn I get NO sleep, like ever)

long story short, anyone planning on doing straight pipes on a V6, just save the extra $130 and get Magnaflows.
