I haven't had a chance to check it out,.........but I was thinking of painting my car the newest 5 stage(?) pearlescent white, i.e: the new cadillacs. I have the pearlescent white from Lincoln only its 6 years (at least) old. I assuming the cost should be around 5 grand or so, am I right in thinking this? The more I see this color the more I want it on the LS after I buy the WW bodykit (next spring)...Let me know what you all think, I'll be moving somewhere warm then and I can drive my car more due to less snow...and I want to start showing the car then also...Sorry I'm drunk now and rambling, that is all!

It will run you $5000 to do a complete color change on the LS. The fact you are wanting to go pearl on it. It will probably cost you even more.

I agree with the 5k maybe more. I say do it if you have the cash but make sure its done the right way. A color like that would look damn nice ( with out the body kit ) but on the other hand it would look posserish if its gunna peel or has some over spray and all on other parts. I seen some bad paint jobs in my life.

Again I say do it, it would look sick with a very very faint hint of gold flip flop clear coating look.

$5000 sounds about right the thing is you gotta get it done by someone who can spray pearls the problem isnt the peeling its the fact that pearl buches up and makes bloches and wull look like crap spraying a pearl is more of light coats followed by foging the whole car a couple of time nd then you would wet sand the car and seal the whole car with multiple light coats of clear. Thats the reason those jobs get so expensive, i know personally because my last car was two tone silver on the bottom with silver ice pearl and candy red on the top with red ice pearl, that job took about a week and a half just in paint the tottal job took 2 1/2 months. I hope you do it, its nice to see ls's with custom work good luck.

What do you guys think about 2 tone on the LS? What color do you think would look good with midnight grey on top and what on the bottom? Pics of my car below.

The guy across the street from my panets house left the bottom the parchment color and did a brown color on the top and it looked pretty good but for some reason he sande the car down about 1 week later and now the car is just primer gray but i think it would look pretty good depending on the color you go with red and silver look good but pretty much silver bottom with almost any color ontop will look good.

I really like silver and black two tone. You would expect 3500 plus for a color change and at least 5 for a pearl. If things work out financially I will be getting mine painted beginning of the year. I have been thinking about the same color with a pearl clear or burnt orange. 001.jpg
