Paint code?...

Gen 1, paint code is BA. Typed it in at work on our painters computer, and it popped up as prairie tan? :shifty: Why? I have no idea, but I looked up color codes for the Mark VIII, and sure enough BA, is midnight black, and it's not metallic, so is this just pretty much your basic black?
 
Well, it says BA, on my door jam. Then, painter typed in UA, for black, because I guess he knew the code for it, but I think the wrong color came up again, but tomorrow ill change some things, and see what pops up.

The door label is a bit misleading, here's mine:

The body colour is above the line :EXTERIOR PAINT COLORS. Mine is DD or light mocha. The BA2 has to refer to 'base model'. As my interior is AH or mocha.
 
Ah, I see where I got confused! Well, we did a search in the paint system, under Ford of America, typed in UA, Midnight Black came up, but it was Metallic, and it said for 86 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. :shifty: So, we can't find it. He said he could do just black, but I want it to match. Does anybody have all of what is used to make Midnight Black?

I don't believe so. I can find no paint colours with a number. The BA is Light Prairie Tan.

The BA2 on my sticker has to be Base 2 for the Body.
 
Mine is a 95 base. I'll take a pic of my sticker for comparison, for the BA2 part. My paint code is WK but haven't ever noticed or really looked at the sticker and seen the BA2 on it. I'm about to go to the garage so I'll take a phone pic and bluetooth it to the laptop when I come back in.
 
i stand corrected as the code for the Ivory Pearlesent is HA avial.95 to 98 it is a metaliic pearl. sorry for the mistook.
