Nothing big, but since my brakes are starting to squeal, figured it was a good excuse to upgrade. Ordered 4 slotted/cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads from Brake Labs. They were $220 shipped, and they are a subsidiary of R1 (actually says during checkout you are buying from R1), so should have no issues. They come with a 90 day warranty and were about $70 less than R1's...which is weird.

Excellent.

This is basically me starting the trail that will soon be a shopping list of mods. Just hard not to mod these cars. I will be looking at j-mod/trans cooler, tune, driveshaft, and gears soon. Why can't I leave anything stock????

Edit: What is a good size front & rear sway bar to upgrade too?

Drive shaft? what are you gonna do to it? you need a lot more power before you need to upgrade to a larger Dia. drive shaft

I'm sure he's gonna replace the D/S with a decent one-piece so that vibes will be less of an issue.

This.

Going to swap in a 93 one piece, had one in my 95 T-Bird and had no vibration issues, and that car was pushing about 400hp. Just need to make sure I have an empty tank this time when swapping it. Having to bench press a full fuel tank sucked.

What year is your car? i have a 94 and its one peice

That must be a 93 shaft then because 94 is a 2 piece.

Driller's pic showing the difference:

hmmm i will have to take a closer look at it when i can get to my car, 18 " in front of my storage unit door

I hear ya mang. These cars are worse then stangs as they too love to be moded. Be warned, once you start you cant stop. I was going to go with the 93 shaft but they are getting scarce and I prefer new stuff so I am just gonna bite the bullet and get a 4" from SCP. As far as sway bar it depends on your roads. If they are nice then get 1 3/8 front and rear. If the roads are not that great then get 1.25" versions. I have the 1.25" and love it, was a big difference over stock and not much change in the ride quality. I am going to do a matching one on the front when I overhaul the front end in a coule weeks.

Thanks for reminding me, I need the trans cooler too and keep forgetting about it. At least it can wait since its cold out. :D

Now you see why I'm not getting into mods. ;) I know if I get started, I will not stop. I do have an X pipe that will be put in after the 98 trans goes in but that's where I stop.

thats not even my latest picture either, the seats are out, the steering column is out and the motor is down to the block, and i got my bike stored in there for winter and my mtb hanging in the rafters along with my roof rack on the 8.... Damn you 10x20 sheds, sound so big but are so damn small

Had mine since 2005 and not the first engine mod yet. As long as it runs smooth, I'm good. Transmission shudder has to go and that's the reason for the tranny swap or I wouldn't even be doing that. The 3rd cat and res, I just want off and some real exhaust on. I have everything, now I just have to get it done.

Ive had mine since 2002, other than some free stuff and new plugs, coil packs, wires and rebuilt trans its stock.......for now!!!!

It doesn't help that I have already had a built MN-12, and know how they handle/ride. Then add that I am familiar with the DOHC motors, it is all too easy.

The roads here suck, so 1.25 it is.

If I had the cash I would order the 4" driveshaft, but I found a couple 93 units, local for $80.

Try car-part.com.
I found 4 93 shafts all under $75 bucks in my area.
Put one in my 97.....works great.
