What are your cars running cold start up and cold idle?. Then hot idle and hot reved? Was driving Ice down highway and oil light flickered then came on solid. No noises made it home. Put crap gauge on saw 5 psi at idle. WHOA. Put good gauge (2)on and hot idle see 22 psi and like 40 when reved. Letting cool to see cold pressures. Hope its just the sender, had this happen in my stang. This # seems ok for me from quick google.

100 psi cold start. dropping to 75, then 50, after a few seconds and things start moving again.
10-20 ish warm idle i think.
50 ish warm cruise. pushing to 75 as the engine revs.

Not many people have oil pressure gauges in their car.

I need the fluid pressure add-on for my PLX gauges still, or else I'd be able to tell you too.

I just checked cold psi with autometer 0-100 gauge. On start up it goes to 84 psi then at idle stayed at 82psi for 60 sec that's all COLD. Also when you hear the timing chain clatter on cold start up there is ZERO pressure until clatter stops then pressure builds. FYI I have motorcraft filter. I will put spare oil sensor off Gen2 on there the same part.

This is with the Melling 10227 pump, 5W-40 M1 TDT oil, -10 AN lines to/from the oil filter, and less than 6K miles on the engine:

Cold idle: ~90-95 psi
Hot idle in park (~700 rpm): ~20-22 psi
Hot idle in gear (~650 rpm): ~15-20 psi

Cruising at low/part throttle, it's usually around 50 psi. If there was a 0W-40 oil with a comparable add pack to the TDT oil, I'd likely switch over to it.
