Okay as some of you seen I had the infamous plug blow out. Well finally got a plug wire and helicoil... tapped it out put the plug in....now I have a terrible crack noise going on.
now loud noise....

Engine. I can feel the compression pushing the top of the coil. I'm thinking the plug went to deep. Pulled it out and checkd the plug for damage and it didn't have any.

You sure you did not drop anything in the cylinder or a piece of previous damage still in there?

Okay this is the best way to say what I see.
First the plug that I used the helicoil on is plug hole #2 on the pass side.. when I take the boot off #1 and #2, #2 is way way deeper. I was careful while tapping and I used bearing grease on the tap aswell as a vacuum... now what I see when I take the plugs out is way differnt.. #2 looks like its missing something..
From what I gathered when I purchased the car from the previous owner he had to have been on one of the mark viii forums. He knew about the intake mods, cobra stars, coil conversions...
What I'm thinking is he knew he blew out the plug and just shoved one down in there and let it sit till I bought it... I'm pissed, I wish I could remember his name and number and tell him off.

Sounds like the insert is to far in the head. Did you use a timesert? Or a helicoil?
Because a timesert will only go in so far... providing you use the right one and don't force it

I used helicoil. I put the 6 thread (middle insert) as told by a how to on here...
I'm not sure how to describe it any better. The plug looks like its deeper in the hole then the rest of the plugs. I did not force and it was extremely easy to tap.
