I replaced my shocks and shock mounts over the weekend. Car rides beautifully now! Only one problem I found, I was playing around with an older Firebird Formula and went to launch and couldn't get any traction! With my old shocks, my tail would squat down, lift the front, and launch hard. Now I'm just fish tailing all over the place  I guess its time to put the DR's back on! :p

that's all fine and good......Just not on the front. lol

oh come on! that thing drove like it was on rails when I had them all around!!!:D

So, just wondering aloud...

Are new shocks going to worsen or better my sixty foot times?

Probably both. I noticed better overall handling after installing even pretty cheap shocks. I think if you go firmer (like Billsteins), you'll probably get better launches.

Just my guess- I could be wrong!:)

I wouldn't change them if you're looking for better traction. The new shocks don't allow the weight to transfer as quickly to the rear, or atleast that's my problem.
