Hi, folks been around this forum for a few years but never joined just found what I needed. But now decided to join.
Just got a 1997 Mark VII LSC Black on Black, Been looking for one for a while that was reasonable and in descent shape. It has a few problems but the good out weighed the bad. The inside is pretty good no rips or tears nor many cracks in the leather.
Things it needs. Rear shocks and new mounts never thought a bad mount would be so dang noisy, The front is pretty good and holds air but you can tell and hear it needs the shock part. Just going to redo the front and rear suspension with new parts, the car has 104,000 miles and probably overdue for new bushings and ball joints anyway. Can't wait till spring time so I can do it. But for now it will do cause it will not be used in the winter.
The only things it really needs is the steering column wobbles it was over extended think I got that under control. Think it is the bearing retainer found some place and ordered them hoping nothing else is wrong cause the tilt still works.
Thing I do need though and can not find is the lens cover on the massager door panel is missing.
Thing that got me confused is the massager mirror nothing works with it no power to it, going to try and remove the door panel but only want to do that once cause I need to replace the door lock actuator.
Fixed audio today I was only getting highs so I started to remove the amp then found 4 cut wires taped up, guess the person before me only wanted highs or maybe they had some subs and only needed highs but there was no evidence of anything aftermarket on the radio.
The car has some 18" rims that are chrome but really need to be re-chromed prob just get new ones that look a lot better. The question is do all the low profile tires have the noise of a truck with mud tires on them. They grip nice but dang they are noisy as all hell. the tires are Dunlop.
Any the rear neon dont work
but hear there is a fix called Glitch is that sill around to order?
I have a 2004 Lincoln Town Car also.
Guess I just want to say Hi to You All. My name is Brian
There are not many Mark VIII up here but I like that when I am at the red light I am not next to and in front of the same car. It really is a awsome car
