New parts for a new project

Picked these up dirt cheap... getting the coils and the covers soon. Then I plan to replicate the harness that is sold on svtp

I've got coils, covers, and a harness that you could cut up for the connectors...

Only thing I cant find is the opposite connectors that would plug into the coil, the male end I believe. Ive never seen them.

The guy I got the cam covers from, has the coils, i have a line on the coil covers. Just need the connectors

Yeah, I really wouldn't want to go quite that low on the coils...

Best price I could do for you is 8 coils, a set of coil covers, and the connectors (hell, I'll give you the whole harness), for $110 shipped. All coils have new or like new boots...

I'm going to pass for now. But only because I can get everything locally and just need to find the plug that the cop harness would have to plug into. Makes me wonder if that guy cut the connector off a first gen coil pack or something.

I would just hard-wire it in. Once it's done, it's not like your gonna need to "unplug" it... You'd have a plug for each coil...

I honestly never thought about that, however IF I really fubar'd it up, I'd be quite upset that I cut the wiring

That I could do. Only thing that I dont QUITE understand yet, is how 3 wires on each plug can fire 8 cylinders. I know its the waste spark system, but Im not exactly sure how to go about wiring everything up. I know I can do it, I just need to see a wiring diagram or something

well. 3 wires actually fires 4 cylinders. and its 2 power wires and a ground (or is it 2 grounds and a power? anyway.) so 2 circuits per side. and since each setup is repeated on the other side, 4 circuits total.
so the math means that each circuit must fire 2 cylinders. and the circuits are set up so that the one circuit fires one cylinder in the power stroke and one cylinder somewhere in the exhaust stroke. that is the "wasted spark."

Well, one step closer. Picked up the coil covers (just stock black intech covers) for $25 bucks last night. So I only have $75 tied up in cam covers and coil covers. Should be picking up the coils sometime next week for $50 from the same guy who had the cam covers. I likes me some cheap!
