Anyone have a black front driver seat for a 97/98 mark 8 lsc?

or a black cupholder/ash tray cover?

thought i'd ask around

been using this site for awhile lately, lots of good stuff.

$2,800 for a 97 lsc with 148k miles
interior is perfect except the driver seat has a tad wear, back seats maybe sat in twice..
paint is real nice too
only thing was the no heat thing...:shifty:

Sweet deal & amazing picture dude! Welcome to LVC!

:W to :V

And yes, that sounds like a pretty sweet deal you got! Like to see more pictures of the car all around. That is also a pretty sick photo, nice job lol.

Not too shabby. Try searching the for sale section and ebay for the seat skins.

Makes me think I can get decent money for my 89K mile modded 97 LSC when I sell it in the spring.

The interior black is a different shade between 97's and 98's. The cup holders are hard to come by and can get pricey.

Wow, the prices on these cars must have gone up since I bought mine.

Wonder if high inflation or cash for clunkers caused the price of these cars to go up in the last few years? I don't remember the data off hand but I do know many Mark VIII's were destroyed because they were not worth the $2500 that you could trade it in as part of cash for clunkers.

Yeah, I live in mid tn and drove to atlanta for mine. 2800 might seem a little steep but after seeing the interior and paint...not to mention it was owned by a 70+ year old man who just bought a new 2011 5.0 mustang gt....I couldn't say no

So he was getting rid of his "old" Lincoln

Haha

Yeah and the seat isn't bad at all, I just know in 5the years it will be, and id like an extra

:D

As for the upholder...im praying for a miracle..

That's a shame about the cash for clunkers too..its so funny to hear friends get in my car and say ONLY 2800?!?! this car looks like a 2005 or something

Guess nobody except us really got into the sport/luxury hybrid haha

Yeah, we just figure anything Ed says is BS.

My last three Mark sales:
1998 White LSC 110k $9000
1998 Black LSC 150K $3500
1998 Grey LSC 104k $4500

There were a total of 126,103 Mark VIII's produced so that makes nearly 0.5% turned in to be destroyed. I guess that's not so bad since the Lexus SC/300/400 had nearly 0.6% destroyed. Parts are so expensive on those cars that the owners must have just given up on them.

A lot of these cars were beat to hell, non running or complete junk. I saw one of the traded in Mark VIII's, a first gen that didn't have an undented panel. It looked like it had been sitting in a field for a few years and the wildlife made a new home in it. There were a few good cars more than likely, but I would say the junk ones outnumbered them by quite a large margin.

LaserSVT,
We appreciate the modifications you have done to your vehicles to suit your needs. However, those prices you have sold your Marks for are a little deceptive. You didn't mention about all the money spent on the upgrades nor did you mention all the time you spent working on it. If you counted all that up, those prices you sold your cars for would seem low.

That said, someday when my Mark finally bites the dust, I'll probably sell it to the junkyard for the price of scrap metal. It won't be worth anything because it'll probably be too old and too worn out. However, I sure have got my moneys worth out of it considering the $2500 I paid for it. I just do the minimum on it and I demand the maximum out of it by working it hard everyday. So far, it has done marvelously well because it was built "Ford Tough". Even the original 14 year old air bags are holding air and continue to do so even when I haul a big load behind.

Oh my freaking God.... what is it with you and hauling :q:q:q:q with your grand touring luxury coupe (according to Wikipedia). That doesn't sound like anything that was made to haul with.... damn just reading your posts makes me angry lol.

actually, his grey car and black car were very stock.

Yeah, Ed Hall tows :q:q:q:q behind his Mark VIII. Ed, STFU, never bring that up again. Everybody else, STFU if he ever does. Can we please be done with that crap. By the way, my TBird has Somender Singh grooves in the heads.

Oh yeah new guy, welcome, etc.

I don't know what the issue is. Our cars are stronger than Cadillacs yet others do fine even towing with FWD Cadillacs that have much less horsepower than the Mark VIII.
