New guy

Looks really really good dude. Rebuild that front suspension with moog control arms and ford strut rod bushings.

Best looking 6er stang I have ever seen, most are beat to hell to go with their lack of speed.

I almost hate to say it cause that Mark looks so much better now but if I had a sixer Stang like that I would be hard pressed not to slap that Teksid in there.

Its come a long way in a week. Total invested so far, about $800 + fuel to pick it up...

Still got work to do, especially on those headlights. I also need to figure out what to do about the suspension. It needs ball joints, too.

Sensor lower that thing. Kinda lookin like 4X4 mode right now but really it is looking good. Keep up the good work.

General consensus to use the ones from the SAME year Thunderbird to save loot?

Not sure on what you mean by sensor lower. And, yes, the 4x4 mode annoys me.

Search "sensor lower" as its been covered a bajillionty times. As for the T-bird parts you can use their lowers and they have a higher duromiter bushing so they are firmer. Cant use the uppers because there is no mount for the ride height sensor.
For strut rod bushings ONLY use OEM. And I do mean ONLY!

So I've got my control arms on the way. Is there anything else I should keep an eye out for while changing these?

Also, is the beige interior from 96 the same shade as that from 93? Might have someone send me a console lid from a 96 car.

If you are swapping the uppers then make sure you have a good ratcheting 18mm wrench. Not a sockett.

that looks good and I like the six-banger too-you obviously are talented and will to make that 93 nice, and you enthusiastic at owning what is still one of the best cars on the road, even 13 years after the last one rolled off the line.

It has many idiosyncrasies, and they are all covered on this site-headlights, shuttering trans, IAC's, electrical systems, IMRC's, ABS/Traction control lights, sensor lowering, sliencer removal, cracked buttons on ETCU's, retarded 10 disk changers...chime in, gen one owners, they have their own particular problems. But you are off to a great start especially at that price. Good luck.

Well, sorry, yet excited to say, the original plan is beginning to unfold.

Parts I currently have or are on the way:

97 mark viii upper/lower intake/fuel rail
t-45 from 99 cobra
pro 5.0 shifter
all harnesses and ecu/ccrm from 03 GT
clutch
flywheel
longtube headers
offroad H to dumped muffs
radiator
cop valve covers
ignition set
jlt rai
wp ud pulley
driveshaft
oilpan
imrc delete
xcal2

It was great cruising the Mark, but it will live on in the mustang.

I posted a thread in the for sale section. Will part out easy to remover/easy to ship items.

ps: i am also keeping my eye out for the perfect deal on a perfect 98 Mark.

If anyone is interested, that's what happened. Should have the stang back on the road in the next few days. Long story short, air bag problems, main seal leaking, and a few other things led me to go on with the original plan. Made more money on the mark than i paid for it, even after pulling engine and trans (to sell).

Started it for the first time the other night. Had a huge intake leak. My dumbass used the cobra imrc gaskets, rather that the mark composite plate gaskets. Got most of it put back together last night.

A couple quick cell phone vids from while we were trying to figure out the problem.
