Went to the strip today and ran a 13.94 with a .05 r/t and a 1.9 60'. Then I ran a 13.72 at 101 with a 1.8 60'. But as with everything... If it's not one thing it's another... All I have to say is I had to trailer the car home..
 
Congrats on hitting the 13's and breaking 100mph. That's pretty fast for a basically stock heavy car!
 
that sounds coil related rather than valve train?

have you tried swapping the coil from one side of the motor to the other?

might give it a shot.

it wouldn't be the first time a mis diagnosis was discovered.

Is there any unusual valve train noise?
Do you think it busted a valve spring?

usually when a first gen chunks a valve spring it's "one cylinder" and not the entire bank of cylinders.

If it were the timing chain it'd be both banks as well.

The car wont crank at all. Im starting to believe it's and electrical issue. Here's the story... I downshifted past the traps to slow down a bit.. The motor revved to around 5800 and I started hitting the brakes... I get to the turn around at the end of the track and it's shaking like a diesel turning around and pulling away from the time slip booth. At the moment i'm thinking edis. If one coil pack went out it would fire the designated cylinders on both banks.

Humm that sucks...I am sure you will get to the bottom of it.
5800 shouldnt hurt anything.

Once going thru the traps I was going to bump the shifter in netural and poped it into reverse locking up both wheels....not good.

Everyone thought I locked up the brakes not to break out.
Unlike you I got lucky and didnt hurt the car.

It may have been into the redline but still had a good 800 rpm before the breaking point. It never made any noises other than sounding like a 4 cylinder car. Im almost feeling like parting out the car.
 
How many miles on the motor? You may have messed up the valve timing by skipping a tooth on the chain.
 
From everything I have heard, and I don't know if this is true if any of the chains skip even 1 tooth it bends valves.... don't quote me on that though....

The car... as I said Made no unusual valve noise. Just wasn't firing all cylinders. To ad to that... The car was running funky when I pulled back into the pits the car started to change exhaust tones but only for a second at a time. I also used a videoscope on every cylinder and there are no nicks in the piston tops.
 
I checked valve timing today and everything's lined up. Also, I got the car to crank. It wasn't cranking because the pins in my trans harness connector were not contacting well enough. I found a new EDIS module and I'm going to try and test the coil packs.

I'd kick the crap out of the guy that bent your flywheel and didn't plug your trans harness in correctly.

They owe you the cost of the tow from the track.

Since it was done at the dealership they should warranty the repair and re-imburse you for your towing charges.

All you should have to do is provide them with the receipt from your "professional install" and they SHOULD take car of you.
