Need some advice

I have finally gotten serious about selling my truck. I have dractiaclly reduced the price in order to sell it more quickly. Im sure most of you have seen it, but here is a pic.

It runs and drives pretty well, but I dont really need a truck, and would like to get soemthing a little more fun to drive. I have narrowed it down and have not really decided exactly what I want. These are my options:

98 Mark VIII CE - Will most likely have to travel across the country to find a nice one, hardest to find $5000-$8000

Crown Vic LX Sport- (similar as marauder but with SOHC)- can find a decent one in the midwest but will have to pay $7500-$10000 hard to find

Crown Vic PI- Can find one in IL with the options, mileage, and condition im looking for and will most likely be spending under $4500 for one- to hard to find

What should I buy?

The Mark or the first Crown Vic.

Crown Vic PI - you can find nice ones in your range, and in IL there won't be a shortage of them.

Oh, and about your truck... I would sell it on ebay. I've sold my last 2 cars that way - and I got what I wanted for them.

Go with the red Crown Vic. Those police packages are all heavy duty. Beware of most city cars though. They run the snot out of them 24 hrs. a day. Years ago, I was a cop in Baltimore. My partner left for the Md. State Police. If they got a stone chip, it went in the paint shop. Plus they were take home cars. An added benefit, watch how people pull into the slow lane when you come up behind them. lol. I also love that black Marauder but you will have a much harder time finding one as you referenced.

The black on is a Crown Vic LX Sport. Not a marauder. You cant touch a marauder for under $10k, and that is alot more than i am willing to spend on a DD.

dont buy a C.E although so sweet looking, its a mark VIII, you have one and already know the parts finding problem, think about a C.E. just another car to pull your hair out over when it comes time for parts. i would go with the vic lx or an interceptor, i still want an interceptor bad but timing is not good. if you go with one, stay away from a pursuit car though, get one from a detective or even a seat belt reinforcement car, at least those ones havent been beat to death!

also, have you ever considered a t-bird supercoupe? theyre well within your price range and can be pretty fun cars that are unique

That car is on ebay also. I have to have carpet and cruize, which that one doesnt have, otherwise it looks like a pretty nice car.

I thought its 'carpet' looked dirty in the pics! Lol. What do they have then, just a rubber liner? Heck, if i was in the market i wouldn't mind that vic myself!

I drive a police interceptor as my DD, and honestly its the greatest thing ever for that purpose!

They arent' that nice after service, dings, scratches, etc...

That plus the rubber floor equals great driver. I don't have to worry about anything with my vic. I haul parts. tools, people, little brother, and everything else. I never have to worry about scratching it or washing it daily. Its awesome as a DD, and people seem to leave you alone on the freeway which is a bonus!

no problem i saw it earlier today and thought to myself damn nice dd too bad its in ill. Then I saw this and was like wow what a coincidence.

You could always do carpeting pretty easily but not so sure about the cruise... mileage is low tho.

Plus, you can fit the bumper bar and do pit maneuvers on people that cut you up!
