Putting my 93 back together, and I came across this mystery connector that I can't figure what it's supposed to connect to. It's a female connector with two wires going to it. Pink with black stripe, and white with red stripe. I thought it was supposed to connect to the center console that has the traction control, cigarette, rear defrost. I have those two connectors. I'm wondering if I routed this wire to this location by mistake. Does anyone recognize it?

I think I have something routed wrong. I just can't put my finger on it. The rear cigarette lighter connects to the main harness. It's too dark to continue, I'll have another run at it tomorrow.

greg look at your console, there is a tube that is attached to the console that goes under the climate control and connects to the dash duct work, that plug connects to another plug on that tube on the console, its for the ash tray light if i am correct. if it isnt that one, then the only other plug that looks like that, goes up on the top right corner of the dash for the photocell sensor.

I still haven't been able to identify what this plug controls. It does not go to the center console. It's just two wires. Does anyone recognize this connector?

message center?
I'm not sure where the wire you have is physically located but maybe if there is enough to reach it?
Good Luck.
Bill

i know where it goes, where ever the hell you forgot to plug it in! cut it off then you dont have to worry where it goes.

It looks like the plug for the sensor that detects light for the auto headlamps. I ran into the exact same thing when I had the dash out of my CE. It goes in the upper right hand corner of the dash, and believe it or not, you can fish it through without pulling the dash out, at least I did.

There a two-connector wire near the glove box that is used to program the Keyless Entry FOBs on a GEN-1.

It's not connected to anything. You have to short the connector and press the buttons on each FOB to program them.

Could that be the connector you've found?

Bingo! I'm almost positive that's it because i used that to program another remote.

It's not that.

In your original post, ".....traction control, cigarette, rear defrost. I have those 2 connectors...."

that would be -3- sir

Something with anti-theft? That's the only place I see pink w/ black.. Unless I'm looking over something

EDIT:
I found that Pink/Black is to unlock doors.. Idk..

I have a connector like that that was attatched to the seats I put in. I think it's for the heated seats but I don't have heated seats. Thankfully the seat track cut it off for me. lol
