The car you all helped me to decide to buy in my '95 vs. '97 thread is finally respectable enough to post pics of, so here it is!

I bought a coil conversion and brought my car up to Jamie, I drove it 60 miles on pancaked air-ride. Jamie ended up cutting the old front struts (I mean shocks, right Laser?) off because they were so f*cked up, he kicked ass though, and gave me a hell of a deal. I ended up driving home with working brake lights, a fuse cover that was missing, 4 new tires, all in addition to the spring conversion install, and spending a fun afternoon watching Jamie learn to hate my car. I did end up leaving disappointed, though. As it turns out, Jamie is jealous of the size of my lower horn, so he refused to let me borrow his big tymers CD and also was in such a piss-poor mood from jealous rage that he hammered my strut bolt out of his vice so hard, in his anger, that it launched across the room and hit me in the sack. It was worth it though. We met a retarded dophin from the shop next door, and in the end made up.

I still need to detail it, and finish putting the interior together. I have a lot of work to do on the car, but it's a good base for a fun project, and that's what cars are to me; Fun.

Considering this is a $1000 mark, it's as nice as the exterior, but it's all taken apart. I am putting it back together, then cleaning it all. I will post pics when I mini-detail the car next week.

i have to say that this car is super clean for the money he paid. it has its little problems but dont they all? the car even has a brand spankin new evap tray under it. someone did exhaust work to it, the 3rd cat is still there and after that cat the pipe jumps to a single monster 3 inch into 2 1/2 inch tails welded to a pair of flowmasters. its a good looking car. mike and me made a deal last night, he told me he hates chrome wheels, and his tires were smoked, i had a clean set of silver 10 spokes with 4 brand new tires that came off the last mark we parted out, so i traded him the silver 10 spokes and new tires for his chrome 10 spokes with doo doo tires. i am gonna put my new tires onto his chrome 10 spokes, put them on my 98 lsc, then sell my chrome 10 spokes off my 98. his are a little better condition than the ones on my 98 i am gonna try some brasso or something on them to try and get rid of the scratches, looks like steel wool scratches. mikes car kicked my ass last night i havent fought with a mark VIII that bad since my massachusetts mark parting days! its a nice car and i think as he slowly fixes it up he is gonna enjoy the car.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

On a side note, I need to figure out how to fix small dings that do not break the paint. You can see in the pics, I have a sh*t load of them.

Big Tymers?

Jamie likes them (rap group from ~2004). I made fun of him, now I keep bringing it up. :D

its a joke i dont like big tymers, the cd belongs to my buddy jake and it was sitting on my work bench so i grabbed it and threw it in my car to adjust my mids and lows, it had good bass on it i will show everyone i hate it by running the cd over lol. i am a metal guy, god smack, alice in chains, clutch, chit like that.

Nice car. Ive heard not to be in the shop when Jamie is working cause he throws things. :D

Ya, he took a page outta ripped camel's book for my car, he beat the crap out of it with his hammer! I thought his arms may fall off. But, I will say, he did some damn good work, and busted his ass for me. If I didn't know better I'd say Jamie was a crack addict, he works so damn hard for his cash.

Well, maybe is is a crackhead, he loves Big Tymers so damn much, and wanted my chrome wheels.... Hm...

IF, and only IF, Jamie posts a vid of the CD under one of his speedstars, I will NEVER speak of it again! I swear!

Looks nice! I like the sign in the third pic., 14 mph

i did a double take, wtf 14? i guess 15 was just too much? but now i want that sign anyone willing to steal it for me? :shifty:

nice silver frost and i agree at least the chrome is in good shape but that would be the first thing to go

looks nice..

and i cant wait.. just a few more weeks till the "Music is a Weapon" tour..YAY... Korn and Disturbed will be headlining :)

14mph.. thats funny.. theres a little town near me called Lincoln Town, im stealin that sign one day

I h8 chrome. It's on it's way out.

x2 when its on the body. I would never buy a base mark unless they made the exact color so i could paint it myself..

I hated the chrome on my marquis..Thats why i liked the mauraders and cv sports..Chrome was painted body color.

Cleaned it all up Monday, looks a little better, but I want to buy some leatherique and get a few dings and scuffs cleaned up. Pretty soon it's gonna have new upper and lower control arms installed, I have all the parts. Also, bought 14 qts. of mercon v and a filter today, I wish I could find out if my accumulator updates had been done, I want to do that and Jmod while its open. After all this, rewiring the car and installing some audio.
