My New 0-60 Bone Stock

Am i the only one with somewhat of real way of timing (g-tec).
Counting seconds doesnt work get a g-tec at least come on people.
I love watching video runs but to use them to gauge 0-60 is a shame.

Videos can be pretty accurate when you go through frame by frame. In this case, movement begins at about .4s and end at about 6.5s. So I'd say 6.1 seconds for 0-60, plus or minus about .05s. Not bad at all for a stock setup.

I'm in no way claiming it to be track worthy or anything but I do know what it used to do and it was 7+ sec and since changing out the computers, it has brought it down one second. The car will never see the strip and honestly I don't like dogging it out like that and the only reason I have been for the last few days is because of the swap.

Not bad for a completely stock ride. And with the extra weight of the speakers and the box, which I must say is a nice looking set up.

That's why from now on, I'm gonna "grandpa" it around. I got one ticket on the way back from Florida in October, I don't need anymore of those. That video above was in a 40mph zone. I was at 70. That would have been a nice one if I would have been caught.

Done it a few times today and it's running right on 6 consecutively

I ain't wasting no more gas on this sh!t.

I thought you were not going to do this anymore, seems as if you are doing it alot now Buddy, you are going to be ticketed :(

:D

I'm done with it now. First 2 were on a street where there are no cops but the street sucks for traction, no matter what type of tire you have. That video is in another thread.

The video here was a one time run on a street that I knew was going to give me good traction and I had just been down it 3 min earlier going to a store so I kinda knew it was clear coming back. It was a 40 mph zone and I hit 70 and braked just as I hit the stop button. Turned out to be a pretty good run.

Next three runs were on a different road with pretty good asphalt but I had removed nearly 200 pounds of subs, box and amps from the trunk. Figured that weight might be holding me back some but apparently not. It ran 6 seconds on each try and Madison police were not an issue on this road at all. Now that I know what it will run with the new computer, no more need in doing WOT's. I do not need a ticket at all, need to save as much gas as possible (but you know when you get a new toy, you have to play) and just take care of it.

Next WOT this car will see is after I have done a J-Mod to the trans. Not a speed concern, just want to hear that 2nd gear. 0-60 would still be the same.
