My LS w/PICS!

Bought a 2000 LS V8, Black on black, auto trans w/ the SST shift option.
Just the standard LS I believe, not a "Sport" or "LSE" (Sadly lol)

Guy wanted 5, and I talked him down to $2900
Borrowed the money from my grandma, until I sell my 95 Explorer, to pay her back. I have a 92' Eddie Bauer Explorer, 95' XLT Explorer, and the 00' LS.

In my 92 Explorer, I have a Sony CDX-GT720 headunit, Sony 3 way speakers all around, 2" Lanzar tweet's all the way around, and for the back, I have a Hifonics Brutus 3200w mono block Super-Class-D amp, powered by an extra Kinetik Battery in the back, along with a brand new Duralast Gold under the hood, and top suck all that power up, 2 15" Kicker L7's in a BIG ported box that sadly wont fit into the LS'es trunk :( (Point being of all this is that its going in the LS as soon as I pay it off)

More on the LS now:
She JUST hit 174,000 miles last night, runs beautifully, drives amazingly, and the only real issue with it, is the trans, it slips if I floor it, but other than that, it will drive perfectly if I take it normal.

Exterior: 8.5/10
Interior: 9.5/10
Engine: 9.5/10

It needs a HUGE detailing job haha, theres tons of swirl marks, and a couple little scratches im gonna see if I cant buff out.

I have ALOT of plans for it:
-FloMaster mufflers, and pipes
-Halo's in the headlights
-LED interior conversion (Hopefully including gauges also)
-LSE front bumper (MAYBE the whole sideskirt, and rear bumper too)
-K&N CAI
-19 or 20" Rims
-Tinting the windows
-Optima battery
-Red & Amber (2nd gen) Style tails
-LED brakelight conversion, already did the 3rd brakelight
-Eyelids for the headlights
-10,000K HIDs for the headlights, 6,000k for the HIGHBEAMS
-10,000K HIDs for the fogs
-Reverse SST wiring, so the shift sequence is reversed
-01' Style center console (With the "built in" cupholders, not the flipup ones)
-Underbody LED's
-White LED strips for under the hood, and trunk for optimal lighting
-Lowering it 1.5-2" depending on what wheels I get
-Full tune up
-A shifter swap, if possible, to the 03+ style w/ SST
Many more, I just cant think of them right now lol.

The previous owner had a JVC KD-AVX44 headunit installed, which wasnt my style, so I put the stock one back in...the JVC is for sale also

yea it kinda sucks that a ported box for a pair of 15" L7's wont fit, but if you build the box right you can have a sealed box fit in and still have a little room left over in the trunk:cool:
 
I figured by the SST, but I thought the chrome meant sport...guess I had it backwards lol....im glad anyways, I HATE the chrome on the bumpers.

Yea lol, I gotta have something built obviously...but I still want it ported, I had mine in a sealed box before and they sounded bad with rap.
 
All of these things are part of the "Sport" model
SST
17 inch rims
All leather steering wheel
Leather shift knob
No chrome on front or rear bumpers
Sport tuned suspension
 
Now I feel even fancier :p haha


Is there anyway I can just replace that lower grill? Or do I need the whole bumper, because a chunkno it's missing on the passenger side
 
that piece comes out of there intentionally...its for a tow hook or some crap.

IIRC it is expensive...do a search, its been brought up before

its gonna be tough to get a ported box to fit in the trunk, the L7's(15') need a pretty big ported box, i have mine in a sealed box and they sound great with rap, and that box barely fit through the trunk opening.

Yea it doesn't look right, just having a chrome strip on the bumper...EW lol, I hate when people line their doors and every single thing they can with that chrome lining stuff
 
good stuff, i hope it lasts for ya. I actually like some of the chrome stuff on them, mine came with it so i kept it, ill take pics of it sometime

its got the sim top, which makes it look pretty neat as well
 
What size kinetic battery are you using? I'm thinking of getting one. I can use it as a replacement for my car battery right? Its not just an add on battery for your system
 
welcome, it looks like you have alot of plans good luck with them. i agree about the chrome on the bumpers yuk
 
Good buy man i used to have the same exact car i sold it about 5 months ago but you cant go wrong with black on black..
 
Welcome. LS looks good. Seems like its in good hands.

I have to agree. A little chrome is okay. But some people get carried away with it.

Haha, but yea, I was finding a spot about a week ago at work to park, and as I parked, this 2nd gen explorer parked right in front of me, and I swear to god, he couldnt have done anything else chrome unless he actually painted the whole thing chrome, I wish I would have gotten a pic on my phone, he had like 10 vertical lines of it on the hood, around every window including the windshield, around all lights, and handles, lined each door with them, had them on the grill, along with the chrome pillars and handles, and to top it all off, the tint that looks like CHROME!!! It was hideously funny


It literally had more chrome than this right here I think LMAO
