I know a few of you have gone through almost or all of your interior lights and maybe even your exterior lights and replaced them with LED bulbs. I'm again assuming that this would be better for the car to have less draw and that the LED bulbs would last longer.

So, if that's true then I will add this to the Mod Grocery List.

What's the best place to get them from, and how much am I going to be looking at to do most of the car? I've seen VLEDS.com mentioned in a few threads.

Did you have to use some type of diode or load resistor on the turns to keep the flash rate, or does the flasher have to be replaced as well?

What's your opinion on how it changed the lighting? Better or just brighter?

getting a good look is tough with our internal reflective bowl

yes you have to add a load resistor to fool the 'burned out lamp' sensor.

I did all my interiors, the change in color is dramatic. It goes from washed out yellow to crisp white.

It steps the car up to a whole new level of luxury IMO. The License Plate and Puddles really make it sweet looking @ night.

There is no separate, replaceable flasher. The flash function is integrated into the networked electronics. The REM controls/flashes the rear bulbs and the FEM controls/flashes the front bulbs. The cluster sends the flash commands.

Do you have any residual light after shutting off the switch? I'd love to trade up for the crisp white light of LEDs but dont want the interiors to shine all the time.
Were load resistors required for the license plate lights or puddles?

Thanks,

Part #'s for the puddles and okay nevermind, how about all the ones you listed..? Any pics?

There is a slight residual, but you have to be looking really hard for it to be noticed. The interiors and exteriors both have residual light for some minutes after being off. To be honest, I think it looks pretty cool lol. No one has ever noticed it except me because I am OCD. The trade off is worth it. trust me.

MissingLinc, pics of what?

There is the thread full of before/afters of the LED swap I did.
