I finally had a day where BOTH of our cars were clean so I snapped a few.

when the hell did they start putting the lincoln star on headlight bulbs? did you do that?
 
They have always put the Lincoln star in the headlights of the Limited edition MKX. 2008 was the first year. You know what would be cool would be to put those star projectors into a custom set for the LS...
Someone with more money and spare time than me get on that!
 
That is how my driveway looked when my Aunt was in town, she drives that same MKX and I have a black LS. I can live with the front of the MKX, but the back... what the hell were they thinking? That taillight bar looks awful!

Nice setup you have there. Also nice neighborhood. Those houses look awesome! I am jealous!
 
Thank you. my wife and I just moved in in the middle of May. We sold our previous house after 1 year on the market at a big loss. The guy that owned our new house was transferred by GM to Chicago and they paid off the balance plus gave him 25% bonus on top of whatever he sold it for...
Getting this guy to even reply to our offers was impossible and a very very long story...
But in the end we had to move into a hotel for 40 days to get him to agree to a closing date since we had sold our old house. he wanted 70 days to move although he already was living in chicago and GM was paying movers to move him... The guy was a complete and total idiot in every sense of the word.
However GM has to bring nearly 40,000.00 to the table to pay off his balance. And I paid him 2,500 less than his asking price. we had looked at 38 houses and this was the only one that met most of our criteria. So it isn't always the buyer who controls the situation if the buyer really wants the house.

As far as the taillights I'm not sure but I think they were giving a nod to the mark VIII. It actually looks really cool at night because no other SUV has the bars across right now (that I know of).

Yeah I was driving behind one a few nights ago and it looked awesome. I also love the black grill on the mkx... the chrome one looks really bad.
 
nice cars. for some reason i want to say you live in west chester/ liberty township. mainly in the milikin/kyle station road area....those houses look REAL familiar to me.

I was going to say the same thing. The black grille looks much better than the chrome one. And the tail end looks cool at night.
 
The grille was only on the Black Monotone Limited Edition. The regular Limited Edition was available in multiple colors and included the 20's, etched headlights, chrome door handles, piping around the seats, star in the headrests and probably some other little thing I forgot.
The black monotone had all that and a black grille, two-tone black seats with grey piping and inserts, custom floormats and the dark ebony wood combo (they used lighter wood on the black interior in 2008).
 
Actually believe it or not I am in Middletown. I never realized you were from W. C.! We have talked a little in the past about a S. Ohio meet. maybe this fall sometime. There are a few guys around that would be down I'm sure.
 
I like the LS. But don't kid yourself MKX = Minivan. I'm sure you look very cute driving it. :D
 
Yeah, crossovers are the new minivan...
But it's my wife's and I also have the fronts tinted 15% to match the back so no one can see in!!
 
yea those houses just look familiar lol. im in liberty township near lakota east. technically my zip code puts me in middletown but whatever...

a meet would be kinda cool.
 
Who are you asking? I have had a 03 Navi, 02 LSE, 06 Zephyr, and currently an 06 LS and 08 MKX. So as long as I can afford to get what I want, probably pretty loyal. I am a Ford man.
 
i have a feeling this is going to be my only ford/lincoln product. going import next, acura or honda. would really like an 04+ TL
