Miss on acceleration

For most people with a miss I would say check the plugs and wires.
When Sapperfire has a miss I know the first thing to check is head gasket.

Keep it up... Hope you realize I'm preparing tomorrow's dinner

Same problem here.

Brand new Motorcraft coppers / Ford racing plug wires... Car ran like a raped ape for a couple weeks. Just the other day, it started missing on anything other than very light throttle. Bucks pretty violently. When I changed my plugs a few weeks ago, I noticed on the plug on the driver's side closest to the firewall the threads were dripping with oil. (new VC gasket and spark plug gasket set coming). Any insight? Could it be that plug?

Also, had oil dripping down onto the pass. side exhaust from somewhere. Haven't gotten under there yet but it only happens when I run the car at high RPM. Hate oil leaks!

Is the car farting with check engine light or just hesitating/lagging when you step on the accelerator without the light on?

If it's lagging when you step on it(light or heavy) from a complete stop or while in motion, then I'd check the fuel pressure first before going along with troubleshooting the rest of the fuel system.

MAF sensor, Control Temperature Sensor, O2 sensor, bad fuel, leaks of fluid, kinked/punctured hose etc.

However, if it farts, then it could just be something as simple as the plugs, wires and/or COPs that's making the cylinder/s misfire.

You need a cam cover gasket kit.

bring up the sho!
You dont have K&N you have MAC. And a BBK X...ish pipe. And TQ box reinforcements.

As for the SHO, you mean that its miss was dangling fuel pump wires or that it beat Sappers Mark not once, not twice but three times? :p

on a serious note, if its like shuddering when you punch it from a stop or a slow roll, it might be plug, wires, or coils.

its what the cobra was doing today until laser fixed it. either that or your trans is slipping?

You've killed the King Cobra clutch, how many times must you be told?
And you've probably either warped or have heat spots in the fly-wheel

(waits for the question "what's a fly-wheel?")

Hes not talking about himself. His clutch aint any worse then when he bought the car. It was going out and still is.

Now lighten the fock up Francis.

Oh..I thought he was talking bout his Cobra..

We already know the thread-masters problem, he has oil on the cylinder 8 plug... Spark plugs don't like oil on them
