Finally got some paint and clear on them. Color-matched of course. ;)

We'll see how the rollout is on these babies at the track. They are very light compared to the stock wheels. I can pick each one up with one finger with the rubber on them. They are wrapped with 215-60-16 Firestones.

I'm not gonna lie, that looks ugly, but its hard to argue with the way it will help you launch and cut down on rotational drag (if that's what its called lol). I hope to se you in the 12s man

X2 I didn't want to be the first. LOL

It's all good guys. I appreciate your brutal honesty. :p In my defense though, I have seen much uglier atrocities running down the track. And sadly, they were all faster too. LOL This is only the beginning of me pulling at every string possible to get this car as fast as I can under its own power EXCEPT for removing the guts of the car. This is the only weight reduction that will take place with the car.

Plus they where affordable I bet. Welds are 175 each!

And they also look a thousand times better. It's not too hard to find used 4" weld wheels for cheap..go to any swap meet or check craigslist/racing junk..probably can find them with tires too.

In the mark pattern i think not.

Thanks. no one makes 4.250 BC to 4.500 BC spacers. Plus if you run thin Welds they won't clear the cobra calipers anyway so you need some sort of spacers to run the 4 inch wide rims up front.

Well you definitely have more than one thing going on there that I like. I don't have the cobra calipers either. Brake faaaaaaaaddddeee.

Yep, I too have spacers with the Weld skinnies up front. PITA to swap back and forth from the street wheels.

When you headed back to the track?

More than likely when the weather turns cool again later in the year. Now the heat of the summer is on and I'm not even going to waste my time. Plus I need to do the coil conversion, get a dyno tune and a set of sticky Mickeys. Still a few things to do yet, but a quicker timeslip will come. I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve. ;)

No hub swap here. I made these.

That's exactly the problem. Need to do a hub swap

i suppose your only going to use them at the track? or are you just gonna run 'em all day?
right on the mark, those will only work up front, right?

I would never use those adapters on a powered wheel because there is no concentric support (the center circle). The wheel is ONLY held in place by the studs which is not a big deal in the front.

Those are VERY nicely done, Right on the Mark, and they look great! I'm just saying about the center support.

The skinny fronts that I am using are only for the track. They don't really like to TURN. LOL I also ran rear spacers that looked the same but made out of steel on rear of my mustang for years and years with all different types of rims with no center support. (factory Ford SVO rims and ARE mesh rims)

I understand, I've ran non-standard rims on other vehicles I've had plenty of times where the hole in the center was bigger than stock and thus had zero support with no problems.

You and I are obviously observant enough to make sure the wheels are on tight enough and use the correct lug nuts. I work part-time at a shop and you would be surprised how many times I've seen old vehicles come in with the rim holes all reamed out because the lug nuts were a little loose or the center didn't fit. That's the only reason I pointed that out.

They will work very well and they are easy to change. Good luck.
