Mark VIII motor on an F100

So I'm watching "FAST & LOUD" on Discovery. They purchase a very nice F-100 pick up disassembled into 200 parts. It was a man's unfinished project. They bought the truck minus drive train & front axle. A few minutes into the show & their parts guy shows up with non other than a Gen 1 Mark VIII motor & an '03 Crown Vic front axle.

Heh... I have the same truck, but stepside sitting waiting for me to do exactly this. I've already put a MN12/FN10 IRS in, temp put a Aerostar IFS in to be able to move it. But I do plan to put a Mark driveline in sitting on a Crown IFS.

The Crown swap has been around on the truck boards for several years. From 53's to 72's.

The full episode was on last night. I figured it was a rerun because it was on @ 12am but I had not seen it & never heard about it here on LVC.

Never the less, cool truck, sounds sick. Loved it. I would love to own that type of project one day.

I had a friend who built a '66 F-100 short bed with a GEN1 Mark VIII engine/transmission. It was a full custom with polished intake, custom long tube headers, custom polished aluminum intake tube, Heidt's IFS, coil spring/control arm rear susp, Mark VIII rear bench seat, steering wheel, and stereo/HVAC controls, and custom bodywork with candy apple red paint and smoothed door handles and emblems. I wish I had pictures of it because it was one sweet looking truck.
