Well That hole was a small hole under where the sensor goes, in other words hole was not suppose to be there, i J/b Welded so it is all good now

The one above who said it was just for the fan is well, wrong. The sensor does not interact directly with the fan.

Like I said, just put the dang sensors in already! lol You need the passenger side one for the computer which controls the fan and a million other variables based on that temp reading - such as the fuel tables. The other, on the driver side, is the sensor for the face gauge which if you want working or not is up to you.

Thanks for cl;earing that up, cause if it was just the fan then there wouldn't be too much of a need, but now that you mention it does more, very well then it will be replaced

Which reminds me, I need to get new brake pads for the Y33. You still work there?
 
no, but, you still have the 33, holy :q:q:q:q, what are those rim brakes? what kind of pads you want? cool stop?
 
Ya, I still have it. The custom frame is holding up. Disc brakes suck, I have yet to find a person 100% happy with any brand so I still use the good old rim brakes. XTR slip-ins. I think they are all condition, I really forget what I buy.
 
My last 'proper' bike had Hope hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. (back in 96) They were awesome but caused other problems. (broken spokes / bent left fork leg etc.) I stick with rim brakes now.
 
Yeah, they were just starting to get popular.

On the subject of hydraulic brakes, remember when Magura made rim brakes? My buddy had Magura Raceline brakes on his Cannondale - I didn't think they were very good.
 
no they were asolutely horrible unless you were trial riding, they grab and lock, that is it, not smooth at all
 
I remember when hydraulic brakes were new. My friend had hydraulic but they were rim brakes, not disc. They worked really well but if you tore a line you were done for the day where as a cable system can be fixed on trail. Also he had no paint left on his front fork. It leaked more than a few times and the fluid removed the paint. Not to mention the WEIGHT of the dang things. I will probably always use rim brakes, most control, most repairable on the trail and the most dependable.
 
i have to disagree on the most control, The new hayes stroker are uncomparable to control, and dependable is half and half, you bend a rim, rim brakes rub, disc stay the same, but you bend a disc, ur :q:q:q:qed
 
Even a bent rim can be fixed, for the most part, on the trail. I have done it. But even then at least the brakes work in a predictable manner. Disc bends are pretty much brake death.
 
No doubt.

Something Danny didn't mention: Disc brakes can get very hot!!! (relevant when you crash and the bike ends up on you)
