Mafioso HID Low Beam Conversion

Well me and Mafiosa installed my hid's last night it was a cake walk and clean for a prototype there really wasn't much to it. but anyway just posting so people know the product is in my opinoin worth it. but my opinion is only as good as what someone takes it for.

I am also very satisfied with my kit... I heard that you and Mafioso found a better place to mount the ballast.

Yes we did i bent the straight bracket at the first hole closest to the ballast down at 90 degrees then up 90 degrees at the second hole to give it an offset the mounted each one on the right and left support brackets on each side of the header panel. i used the factory bolt (no drilling) i also rerouted the wires for a cleaner

Mafioso HIDConversion

Having just purchased a 1996 MK VIII and notice the poor headlights causing me to drive with both high and low beams in order to see. Read about Mafioso HID Conversion for the MK VIII. Where do I purchase this product and is it adaptable to the 1996 MKVIII.

hey kid me and lu did the high beam hids guess i am the first gen2 to have hid hi beams any way no issues as of yet it has been two days

I'm planning on putting them in my car too... just don't have the money to spend on an HID kit right now... got other stuff to buy!

only prob with hid highs, is you gotta watch for a hot relight of the bulb, kinda like when you put hids in a gen1 low beam, you gotta jump the MFS so the lows stay on with the highs. well kinda the same concept. you dont want to be turning your highs on and off and back on again, or you will drastically shorten the life span of the bulb

No so in Gen2's it works like a charm in crackers car.
