You know,being drunk and all, I havent even touched my LS in months. Ive had numerous offers as far as trades, S2Ks, old Vettes, misc big block cars, ect, ect.. Never acted on them whether if I was interested or not. I havent posted anything worth a **** in a while. There isnt much I can post tho. Not too many people care about making their LS "fast". The few, yes, awesome. Cam, Quik, Sully.. Ya'll are all after something different as am myself. Ive always had the issue of which way to go, FI, N02, N/A.. Im still confused as of what to do. Hell Im still up in the air about selling the damned thing and buying a real sports car. Basically, what this comes down to is, Im not sure what to do. Im 22 years old, I OWN an 05' LS that I bought with money I saved from being over seas and now Im just not sure it was the right purchase. It was on impulse for sure as I was shopping for something sporty but the LS' looks got me good, the performance just wasnt there tho, straight line at least. Ive gone 11s and the LS has given me low 14s... I have a job, you guys have careers.. What would you do?
 
Eibachs and 20s are gone by the way. Well, 20s are, the Eibachs are just off for now. Im thinking of spraying it until it blows come spring.
 
Buy some headers, modify your tune and try for 13's again, then sell if you make it so you go out on top.

How many of these threads you gunna make. Sell it and be done. Sounds like you need speed like you said.

People ask me what I have done to my engine and if it is supercharged. I just ask them if it looks good? They say yes and I say then dont worry about it.... Lol
 
You need to realize this is not a sports car, they fall under sporty luxury which doesn't sound like what you are looking for here. If you want speed you have two options, drop a bunch of money in this or move on to something that is quicker out of the box and work off that. The results from that will put you where you want to be I think. Good luck either way.

If you can trade it for and older Vette and it's in decent shape I would try that, they are already pretty light and have a ton of aftermarket parts out there.

At your age, I would buy what you really want. One lesson I learned from a very wise man some 30 years ago, is to buy what you REALLY want. No matter what it costs to maintain it, you will be happy. I was buying small cars with little power to save on gas and insurance, totally unhappy. This guy points me to a 1968 Firebird, a gas guzzler that could burn rubber. I bought it, and never looked back.
 
Did you have the 20"s on when you were going for 13's??? That couldn't have helped. Its your car, and your life, and no one here probably has a clue to your financial outlook. So if you want and can afford a new (different) car... Go for it man. You only live once, so you better enjoy it.
 
Its taken me a lot of cars, and alot of money to realize what I really want. Go out and start test driving different cars, and really get a feel for what you want to start looking for.
 
Sell it or trade it in and get the new 5.0 plenty of performance and the aftermarket will be thick with mods...Just my 2cents
 
Sell it and buy that LS1/6speed that is for sale, there's tons of aftermarket for those. Your weak link is the rear end and there has already been one 8.8 rear swab in these LS' so that would solve that. I love the LS and that's what I would do if I really wanted to be fast.
 
You never know what you have until its gone.

Sell the LS and go buy a true sports car....i bet you will start missing the luxury and amenities of the LS. But if you thirst speed so much get a cobra with a supercharger.

Or if you can afford it have both.

i agree with this guy, buy that beast, and then make it the fastest LS out there (well maybe 2nd fastest after that blown 4.6 wide body LS)

This is what Im afraid of. If the right deal comes around Ill sell her but Im not even sure of what I would get or want. Also my apologies for posting something like this, again. Lol I didnt even realize I did until I checked my email and saw all the notifications.. Some one has dibs on the springs already by the way if I do part ways with them.

If it aint broke done fix it.

Speed is nice....but i prefer to have a more luxurious ride and take the hit on performance.

Honestly are you going to be flying around at 150mph all the time? But check out the G35, M45, some beamers and some mercs. Or even the GS 400.

Oh and the mazda 6 (fully loaded) is pretty nice too and has a pretty strong aftermarket.
