Everyone that is not staying at the hotel. We plan to meet at 4pm friday. Holiday Inn Express, Green Mount Road exit off of I-64 in Shiloh Illinios. Any questions PM for my cell number.

I just messaged a member on here, I will not be attending.

Me and the girlfriend going to be hypocrites and bail on the account of not enough of a turnout to warrant the travel. I want to meet you all still, but hopefully next year the numbers are more exciting; I stated many months ago, anything under 20 would be a disappointment, in my eyes. I am sorry if any of you wanted to see my LS, but I am not getting rid of it barring someone doesn't offer me an outrageous amount of money.

I will be there next year if the numbers look better to me. I hope you all going have fun (Kumba, have a blast man - you are definitely traveling the furthest I think. True champion!)

And thank you to Rollin for getting this thing going, the first one is always the roughest!

How many people are coming? I will PM you my cell cause I'm not going to get there till later.

I am disappointed that you will not be here.:( I was looking forward to meeting and seeing your LS. But your are absolutely right. The first one is the hardest. Plus, six months to put it together. Not exactly enough time for some members to work that into a budget. Hopefully, next year will be a good turnout. Members having a year to plan for it. Save money and vacation time. .

And to think I was going to give away $1000 cash to each person if you showed! See what you did? Just ruined it for everyone! LOL

It's all good man. I go to these things for a couple of different forums although I must admit I usually fly to avoid those 18-hour road trips. But I guess what's the point in going to a car meet if you don't bring the car right?

We'll have the next one in Key West so you all can enjoy my pain :)

could also try to organize regional meets as well. Do those in the spring and the national in the fall, that way folks can have a good size meet that can't make it to the national. Do an east coast, central, mountain area, and west coast.

OR... a national meet every other week... so people get use to making the trip, We can hold it in KC or STL So that way no one has to drive too far:D

I have yet to see anyone show interest here in the dallas/forth worth area. And theres quite a bit of us here. Elemino, 214rod, Triflelife, myself and andrizzle isnt far away (a couple hours isnt too far anyways).

But we all seem to have issues going on at different times whether is busy schedules/degas and cooling/tranny/broke as :q:q:q:q or fender benders. I would love to go and could come up with the time/money but my car is still not fixed and needs to be detailed, also the tranny is acting up a bit and i dont want to risk anything.

Once my crap is fixed/detailed and slightly more modded i would be more than happy to organize a Texas meet. Need interest though.

start a thread on it... but if it was held on the north end, you might be able to grab a few more (i.e. myself)

Have fun guys. I wish I could join and see all the LS' in one spot. I can't wait to see the pictures.

I would be interested in a Texas meet!!! not sure my car could make it much further. but thats only if my damn A/C works lol. Ughhh dccv :/

I'll host an LVC meet in Tampa in February. Bring your summer tires :)

Maybe we should start regional meets then, we could come up with names and areas they would typically cover and what not. I will try to work on this, this weekend and see what I can come up with.

Ohh well, I'm going to go outside and fly my helicopter :)

as in RC helicopter, or....... a real helicopter ?!?!?!

I want pics either way or you're just playing with the seeds from the tree

RC Helicopter, although it would be more precise to call it a "quadcopter". My big heli would be somewhat dangerous to fly around here. Think of it as two machetes spinning at 3000-rpm that moves about 30 miles per hour :)

It would not be a good idea to fly it around a parking lot.

Here is my travel rig. It's a Blade MQX with a Spektrum DX8. Fly it anywhere and get about 10-12 minutes on a battery or more. I added an aftermarket canopy and navigation lights so I can fly it in the dark. My big heli is a Blade 450X. If I had known there was a huge vacant field next door I'd had brought it and flown it! Need to get more stick time on that thing so I can quit being so horrible with it :)

Maybe next time.

If it really starts to take off, I thought about moving it each year. Chicago, Indy, KC, Cincinnati, Nashville, etc... Have some of the local member in that area help with the planning. Chance to see different cities and still see each other every year. Just an idea.

I think you then would be able to get a lot of the folks like me that don't have a huge budget to go far to get included when it moves to their area. I would have love to come but it just wasn't in the budget this year. I am working on a rather large show at the good year hanger so maybe one year we could do it there. We will get this figured out. First runs usually aren't that great.
