LS in the news.

Wow that sounds like some kinda movie scene.

Pretty cool actually.

Ive been to the middle east...and i dont want to offend anyone here so id rather not say what i really think about this.

Cool find. "Ford Lincoln LS" LOL

I've been to the middle east too... but not for fun or pleasure.

Neither was i.

Matter fact Iraq helped pay for my LS.

Ford Lincoln LS??

Im glad ford didnt rebadge this car. I would drive the taurus over the mks.

Thats amazing, Iraq paid for mine, and Afghanistan was suppose to pay for my extensive sound system, new rims, and new paint! Being on rear-D sucks balls!

[soapbox]

I am generally opposed to much of what the ACLU does, but I hope they prevail here. Government shouldn't have the right to just track (with a hidden device on your property at that) anyone they want without going through the protection and process of a court order.

It starts with people that could never be you, so you don't protest. Later they track you because you once bumped into someone on the terror suspect list. Even later, they track you looking for dirt on you because you publicly exposed just how compromised fire protection in your city is now due to policies of the city council.

It starts with tracking your cars location. Later, they monitor your conversations in the car. Later, they record video of you in your house...

Oops, sorry the OP requested that this not get political.

Yeah 101st for the second time, I love this place, I have respect for MP's, I am a medic, I was with the engineers my first time here, now I am with aviation (totally different army)

I agree joe. I would put up a fight with returning the device. This guy is an american. Profiling him is wrong. I cant tell by the article if he gave the device up or not.

He did. I think that was the right thing to do (they hold almost all of the cards). He now has the ACLU wanting to challenge this whole thing in court in hopes of getting the practice rules as illegal. I hope that he is willing and able to take the risks involved and proceed with this.

Saw that this morning reading the news.

Pretty odd. I bet they couldnt figure out where the battery was to hard wire the newer ones! lol

Smart... Google is ur friend FBI. :shifty:

Im on my phone so it is difficult to read the article. But I find it disturbing how quickly the FBI had agents show up with him just posting a thread on Reddit.

Well, I'm sure they're [FBI] not reading this thread right at this moment...

Wait a minute. Theres a big black van parked in front of my house now. Oh god.

Its smaller than the ls, and shares the platform and some of the interior and engine. But its not like the navigator and expedition.

I agree with you on the ACLU. If there is a court hearing on this I hope they don't do away with this completely. There just needs to be limitations and clarification of the current ruling.
