low speed vibration

I have a 96 mark vlll with 135k, had a vibration above 70mph, installed driveshaft out of 93.soon as I started driving it, I now have a vibration that starts at39mph and stays pretty much constant to above 70. I also installed new ujoints w/h ds. Help!!!! 96 shaker

Are you sure the 93 driveshaft isn't bent or out of balance?

no, should have had it balanced before the install

It would almost have to be with a vibration at that low of a speed. If it came from a JY, the car could have been picked up by a forklift and bent the shaft or something of the sort. I think I would swap back because unless you have a whole lot of extra power, it's really not doing any good to have the 93 shaft.

Try re-indexing the drive shaft while its in there. Remove bolts, turn the shaft 1/4 turn (but not the differential) and replace bolts, test

When i put my 93 shaft in my 97
I had it balanced first and it was a good thing
They said i probably would have felt a vibration at highway speed.

Also look at your tires and wheels
Could be bent wheel, tire ply separation.

B I G thanks to Sapperfire, re-indexing got 95% of vibration out,might go back a play a little more but I can live with now.
