Lincoln Ls Lowering LOW!

Oh im sure with the right amount of money.

But do you really think its better? I keeo thinking of something breaking loose or some random debris coming up and puncturing a bag casing loss of control.

youve got a ten times higher chance of said piece of debris puncturing the tire and causing a loss of control

of all the problems that the mark guys have with bags, this is not one of them.

Yeah I know it will expensive that is why it will be a purple years before I have all the parts to do it but I am going to start my hunt soon and collect the vast majority and the last thing I will get is management because how much that evolves so I can get the best I can. But I am not sure what I am going to do just yet as far as parts and methods

Let me give you a little insight on cost for my old Solara. For a perfect ride that I was comfortable with, it cost me nearly $7000 with a starter bag set of $3500. Tried switches and such to no avail. You need a fully integrated system to monitor everything at all times, and that's what I wanted. Dakota gave me that. I was one of their firsts, along with the Supras looking for better suspension availability on the strip. You can't just flip a switch with bags and expect God's glory to fill that bag and BOOM, you are king of the road. You need $$$$. I was single and had tons of $$$$ as a single guy in the military. Now I'm married in the military I have a different outlook, I have started a project for the LS that will provide a budget system for everyone, that will give you comfort at 2" lowered. You will see after I'm done, I will have a pretty good concept on the market instead of a $3000 coilover in KW. I still don't suggest going 2.5", but I think the comfort will remain the same with suspension stability loss. There is no way you can tell me that you will not destroy suspension below 2-2.5" when I know it's true.

I will be honest with you, I don't need lectured on money guy. I know it will be expensive do you even read before you post? seriously I know the cost involved. I don't need the worlds greatest ride the first day i put it on. As far as suspension geometry I think I can do okay on figuring out how manage keeping it as close to in spec as I or anyone else lowering the LS can.

So anyways this is why I try not to post ideas on this forum because all you get is the guys who say it can't or shouldn't be done.

I wasn't lecturing, and I apologize if you think I was. I have had bags before and I know all the work that it intels. The only nightmare is the wiring. Everything else is nuts and bolts. All I was trying to say is that, if you do it yourself make sure you get everything all at once. Dakota make the best monitoring that you could ask for period. I would go with them. I'm not steering anyone away from bagging, because it's a fantastic ride unless you are tucked in the wheel wells. Then you look like a Civic with cut springs. I hope someone will end up bagging a LS. I think that dollar for dollar it's a great setup and it offers full tunabilty.

I was priced for air ride for the Lincoln LS for around $2700 with 1K install charges. Decided not to go that route. But having had a couple bagged cars and a bagged full size truck in the past, you don't need digital systems to have a good set up. I did just fine with my daily with a normal 4 switch set up. Would it have been nice to have a better system yes, but for a budget build your normal kits work just fine.

Are they a pain to install, not really the wiring and running lines in proper spots is the biggest issues, could you do it in a weekend on your own and avoid install charges yes.....when I was considering it I wanted to have it installed just to avoid doing it.

You can't just flip a switch with bags and expect God's glory to fill that bag and BOOM, you are king of the road. You need $$$$.

If you go with a reputable company that sell kits, you can have this. Plenty of company's offer reasonable entry kits that are quality. Minus some of the cheap valves some come with. With research (you should do anyway) you will find the kits that need the upgraded valves, which are less of a cost then it is a headache to find or install.

This is such a statement that is just plain stupid. I can show you numerous cars that run static or air that sit below the 2.5 mark and the biggest problems come with the body high and wheel placement, i fact I can show ou cars that damn near lay frame on coil overs, (not cheaply build civics). I'm not trying to argue with you here but you have so much "I know everything" coming out of you that its obvious your not even stopping to think about what your saying.

Post your idea's as much as you want, but just expect that some people will disagree/chime in..

Me on the other hand.... DO ITTT!!!!! Would look so sick, keep doing your research and make it happen. I dont care about your suspension I don't gotta ride in it :p but when you drive by me, i'll probly break my neck trying to look at it....

Its all personal preference. If you want to lay frame, bag it. If you want performance, coilovers. Either way your spending cash. Custom set of coilovers or a "possible" group buy is still going to run you a pretty penny. Any air-ride/bag set-up is going to cost you too. At the end of the day, which do you want to spend your cash?

I have a even better idea just get four steering wheels and pull out the airbags, weld up some brackets and good to go!

Oh and for a compressor you can get one of those $10 walmart air bed ones. sounds good huh???

Could it be.... That simple the only issue will be once I hit the switch to go up I am done going up damn there's always a catch

Just extend the tophats of the stut towers. This gives you moar lows on the cheap! A few bucks at Home Depot and you're all set.
