It was not glued in the back, but it was impossible to push the fixture back up from below and get it to snap back into place. However, nothing held the plastic plate down, so it would just move out of the way when I tried to push the light up. I had to open the sunroof, and hold the plastic plate in place with some long screw drivers (through the gap between the inside and outside roofs, where the sunroof opens). Then I was able to push the light up and get it to snap bank into place.
The snap on the fixture is very small, and you might not notice it at first.

+1 as described in my pics......the headlined on mine was attached with velcro.. dont know if it is stock but it works very well....
 
lincoln00, I would suggest superbrightleds.com or V-leds.

I would for sure stay away from those imported LED's ( The ones from the China mans shops ). The dont fit properly. I got a set from e-bay and they fell out all the time. I then went with superbrightleds.com and they were perfect.
 
superbrightled does have pretty good bulb sizes/fit but i ordered some cool white 6 led bulbs and some cool white 12 led bulbs and the color was different
 
yeah thats because there are differant type of LED's not just in color but in brightness and quality which alter's "Bright White"

Visor Lights

before i tear them apart, has anyone tried to put leds in the visor lights.??
 
damn enough with the LEDS! LOL

some is cool... but you can go to far and start to get in to the rice category

anyone want to chip in on a set of visors to tear apart?? im doing my puddle lights right now, waiting for the epoxy to set, then i have to see why my subs are not working all the time before i let the dealership tear my car apart, then...........im gonna have a look but i dontwant to tear them up so let me know. surely there are a set on ebay on the cheap
 
Done.....not sure how bright they will look until tonight. Also fixed the sub situation, previous owner had twisted a wire arround the wire that goes to the cone. that wire had beed cut and it was touching metal periodically which caused the speaker to stop working...sweet. also if the led is not bright enough i am considering using the license plate led and modify the housing
 
the clear plastic comes off, and you can take the bulbs out. there are a festoon style but they are very small, like around 5mm x 15mm or 5mm x 20mm (this is not an exact mesurement, its been a few weeks since i took them apart and checked)

i know, i have just completed the mod. after reading your post im thinking about cutting the top of housing open and using a wedge bulb plug and splice the wires to it then epoxy it to the housing to be able to use the 194 style wedge bulb. the seem very bright and fire straight down

at night the ones i installed are nice and bright. they are not as bright as stock but very close. So im happy and wont be changing anything. im going to ford tomorrow to order another trunk light setup to have one on each side of the trunk.
 
License Plate LED

I just finsihed the LED conversion of interior, puddle and license plate lights. I first ordered the "1 HID White High Power License Plate LED 194 168 158" as recommended in this thread. That bulb did not seat properly in the housing on a 2006 (too long and bottomed against the lens). I re-ordered the "HID White 4 M-SMT 2W High Power Bulbs 194 168 158" which are specifically designed for low clearance applications. These fit great with no need to modifly the OEM housing. The light outout is also great...only downside is they are a little pricey @ $19.99 for the pair
