I've got a friend who wants to sell me his Kooks headers for an awesome price.
Here's the thing: he's got a 94 Mark VIII, I've got a 98, but he swapped in a cobra intake. He had to have an EGR tube fabbed to get the 93-95 headers to fit the cobra intake's EGR tube.
Does anyone know if the cobra intake EGR tube is in the same spot as the 98 stock intake?

Thanks,
J. Richmond

Ford Racing shorty headers... but you won't gain much at all.

I'm willing to bet the Kooks give 20ish and the FRPPs 10ish. Similar bang for the buck but the FRPPs will need little exhaust mods to fit as for the Kooks your facing more.

I would like to know if bolting up the FRPP shorties will then let the 96-98 Cobra off-road and cats H-Xs fit the MarkVIII???? There not cheap but quility compared to fabed.

Delete the EGR and open up the intake.

THEN you'll realize the full gains of the Kooks. :D

You may lose a bit of mileage and it may run a tad warmer as the EGR actually lowers combustion temps slightly. But you'd likely not notice either.

Of course it would not likely pass an emissions test if required.

And what do you gain?
