Ive been on this site for awhile now just looking over threads and what not. But never really posted anything. So here it is. This was my 16th birthday present last October and I love it. Ive done a few modes here and there. But im just getting started. ;) Im gonna start posting more and uploading more as I go.

That's def gotta be an 06. The wheels and looks like oem hid gives it away.

Yep 06. But the those arent oem H.I.D's there 6k slim ballast ones from HIDgate. The camera makes them look whiter then they really are.
 
nice 16 huh, hope your parents gave you condoms with this car, the amount of punany your going to get with this car will be massive, hope you got some game to handle all that.

Ive had this car for over a year now. The "perks" of having it a really nice. :headbang:

Nice clean LS man. When I get around to getting a double din in mine that's the one I'm going with. Pioneer 4300 right? Looks like it came from the factory. Nice folding mirrors to lol.

Mine was a gift too, well kinda. Sold the truck I got for graduation to pay for mine.

What do you plan on doing to it?

Then when I graduate im going to UNLV so tint all the way around. :)
Maybe more idk yet.

When I was school just having a car landed you punanai.

If I had a genII ls in high school I would probably have 6 kids.

I have the same in dash DVD and love it. I also really really want the second gen white LSE...lucky kid for sure

You are very lucky man, don't do anything stupid like trying to "show off the V8 power" to your buddies.

Isn't the next viper model coming out soon? I feel like the 5902 is on its last leg.

they are just trying to push Smart Start now that they have apps for the big three phone systems.

all the new models coming out this year are just slight hardware changes, and a new model number system. the remotes are pretty much exactly the same.



the only hardware changes ive seen are them getting rid of the drop in bypass slot (that they totally dropped the ball on by not actually using it) and the harnesses are a little different (so if the off chance a brain goes bad, you cant just swap it out) they also added a factory horn sensing wire for the 2 way systems that dont have an alarm, you you can get reports of the factory alarm from the 2 way remote.
 
1LoudLS, since you are knowledgeable on alarms, do you know of an alarm system with the capability for custom "arming sounds"... Say like, the ability to have the alarm play soundfile or record a sound to store on the alarm, and it plays that when the alarm is armed instead of a chirp or honk sequence?

I have an iPhone and kind of want the smartstart thing but am not sure if it is worth the investment, plus I have heard of bugs involving the actual 2-way communication between the phone and the car. Basically the App only communicates to the car, but not vice-verse.

Yea thanks. I really just want the remote start My dad has it on his brand new 2012 Malibu and it really comes in handy here in the central valley of California. I'm probably gonna wait till after CES to see what new comes out.
 
Nice looking gen 2. Your a lucky young man. Keep us up to day on your progress.
 
This will have to be a custom project because there's no white LSE in gen I or gen II.

Gen I LSE came in silver/black.
Gen II LSE came in silver/black/red.

Easiest thing to do would be buy a white 06 and throw on some LSE tails. And then it'd basically be a white LSE.
