hello everyone just purchased a 97 mark viii a few days ago. elderly owner who just passed away... i have noticed with the ac blowing max cool it blows hot air and the fan attached to the radiator is not spinning like it should. i unplugged and reset the connector that goes to the fan motor and i also pulled all the 40 amp fuses in the fuse box under the hood and verified they are not burned out. I dont notice the car overheating (i drove it home for 2 hours in mountainous roads) and it stayed a little more than halfway on the coolant guage. what are my next steps?

As with all AC problems. Get a set of gauges on it and post back the hi and lo side pressures. With the age of the car you probably have low Freon for sure.
You did not post how many miles but again your at the age where the car might need a new compressor. Or the fan is bad or both?

But can you DIY any of this? If not be prepared to spend a lot of money.
What scanner are you using?

29 k miles on the odometer. Freon is good after recharge. Noticed the radiator fan does not kick on at all. Even with max ac
