Just installed my CE moldings (FINALLY)

Well, I've had these sitting in my shed for over 7 months & just out of pure laziness I had not installed them. I painted them just days after buying them & put them away. Today I finally installed the driver's side moldings.
It got dark before I could do the passenger side so those will be installed after my grandma's eye surgery.

Nice color match, but why doesn't it sit flush against the body? Did you leave the old adhesive on somewhere?

It looks worst in the picture than it does in real life. It's flush however I only scraped about 70% of the old adhesive. I got desperate & just put it on that way. Fvck it! It looks nice. :D

By the way, if you look closely at the 3rd picture, the door molding is missing a chunk on the bottom right, close to the edge. As some of you know, I've been running a dog sitting business. Well, 3 months ago before I bought my shed these moldings were sitting inside my office & one of the dogs I had staying here got a hold of both driver & passenger side moldings & went at it. He chewed on it profusely! I was very close to closing my doors to the dog boarding business but I counted to 10.... billion, breathed deeply......... for about 6 days straight & I didn't harm the dog.
 
Looks nice Alex. Next time you have to remove adhesive tape from the body you can use one of those 4" gum rubber wheels that goes on a drill. Takes it right off and doesn't harm the paint, don't use it on the trim. Heat gun or a hair dryer works wonders... Heat it up and roll the tape towards the heat, wear gloves!

I've heard really good things about this stuff. Did you have someone mix the color for you? Did you clear over the top then too?

I will be doing all the plastic chrome on my Mark i a month or so too.

Funny thing is i completely forgot i have a product in a can specifically for adhesives. I completely forgot i had it. Going to use it on the passenger side.

No mixing. PlastiKote are the spray cans sold at Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone. Go through the book next to the cans on display, pick the color code that matches the code on your door & get the cans you need.

I applied 2 coats of primer, sanded it down just a tad, 3 coats of paint, 2 coats of clear. Sand again then one final clear coat. DONE!
 
I come to LVC to get AWAY from trolling..guess its everywhere
