Just in case someone might be interested

That would be my perfect LS, it would just need my interior and the miles(with working engine :D) my current one has.

yeah, depending on the issues that could be a hell of a deal, may be something simple, or catastrophic

Kirk, I had my local guy put an insert into the head when I blew a plug. IIRC, he only charged me $200 or so. But I'm sure other places charge more than that. He also did it with the 4.6 kit, though I know he had to rig it to use it.

I suppose it would also depend on which cylinder. Mine was cylinder 7 (driver's side, 3rd one back) and it was a straight shot in to access it. Maybe find out which cylinder blew.

New bumpers are a couple hundred bucks plus paint. At 140K, it's only a matter of a little time before the cooling system plastic parts/hoses need to be replaced. IIRC, that is in the $700ish range.

it would be a snap to put a insert in it.

Hi all, selling my baby ....only because my Hubby is making me as I never drive it. I drive my SUV Lincoln around for my daughter Soccer's carpool.

I don't doubt it....there is some money in lakeville.

Post some pics up of that bad boy.

I was quoted $1800 to do it on my 5.4 pickup when it blew a plug. That's after they put the time-sert in it. Bent the valve and needed to pull the head and replace. Most of that was tied into pulling the head.

That one you have pictured is more than doable at a place that knows what they're doing. It was hard for me to find one when I did. Drove it around like an old tractor for a little bit with the injector unplugged of course. The rear two as hard as they are to get in there with a spark plug wrench I imagine them pulling it.
