So here's the details - 3 Owners, 2 were leased, the last had it since 30K - its at 133K now - Air ride replaced with new system (still air-ride) Always used Mobil 1, and Premium gas - Garage kept, more of a weekened toy for this guy.

Grabbed it for $2000 bucks - nothing wrong at all - now just need to get rid of the ugly green color and do a pearl white paint job - also would like to swap the interior out with Black.

Also thought about doing a black paint job, with ivory interior - but how hard is it to keep that clean? I know jeans can stain the seats and such.

Anywyas I think I got a good deal!!!

good deal on the car...if you want to change the int/ext color of the car you should've just waited for the right one to come along as your going to spend the same if not more making this car what you want color wise...

WTG!! thats a mighty sharp car the way she sits! gotta love the Green! :L

You know.. the more I look at it the more it rubs off on me... Maybe with some saleens and lowered a bit I could live with it since the paint is flawless...just doesnt make sense to do anything to do...

But the Green on Tan.. meh, would have to do black or something

Well - I can get an interior for almost nothing and the paint, well Im going to swap my 1989 5.0 that I just bent the fender on in for the paintjob since she isnt selling easily =/

But the problem is, whenever I find the "right one" it alwyas needs mechanical work, or has alot of owners/miles/etc...coils instead of air-ride, this one was perfect minus the green

Looks nice to me.

Buff the lights, fix the gen 2 issues.
Get a tune some 4.10s hack off the rear muffs and roll it.

Worry about paint later, the thing might grow on you.

Was this the car on E Bay in Rivera Beach? I like that color. Very nice car. How do you get an interior for almost nothing?

Hey man - meant to call you about this - yeah, thats the one!

My buddy happened to have one come into his salvage yard the other day, he wont charge me for the seats - jsut need to find a black dash

Yeah, slap the black interior in and leave the outside as is or you'll be putting a lot of $$ into it for paint. I put black interior in mine and it too was free, seeing how it was in my back yard and near flawless. The dash is where you're gonna want to stop though, unless you really like wires. I stopped but mine was grey inside so now it's two toned.

I do have black door panels in now. I took this before I put them in.

Jamie (Jamie97LSC) probably has a black dash for you, and if you are looking for a pic of a car that looks like that with Saleens on it, do a search for LaserSVT's old threads. His last M8 was that color w/ saleens on it. He's in the Tampa area, so you could go pick it up and save a lot of dough.

I Love Laser's Car - its what reminded me about Marks and rekindled my love HAHAH

Where's the yard?? I would like to check out what's left of the car.

Just outside of Boston - I'd have to have him palletize all the parts I want and ship it to my warehouse down here.

Laser is in Texas and Jamie is in Florida.

Lasers old car is full of bullet holes now as well!!!

I got to give jamie a shout one of these days. If I do the car black I'd keep the tan I guess - But my big thing now is just if/what to paint it!

Tell me - How do you buff the lights? And which Gen 2 issues are u talking about?? The cruise control fire thing? hahaha

rear window seal might wrinkle
blend door
cup holder
broken door handle (all)
rear neon
hids

as for the lights you wetsand and then polish them...they make a kit that they sell at most auto parts stores to fix the hazyness.

if you save money on not getting it painted, you could either get wheels, a tuner, gears, tint, stereo, exhuast(i cut mine off, sounds decent and its free). You could prob take your pic of 2-4 of them for the price of a color change.

Yeah I considered this - Ill def do HID's - As for the Exhaust, I would cut it, but dont want that exhaust smell my 5.0 had =/ Maybe I should just do it closer to the rear axle and not at the front like the GT LOL

just cut it right before the muffler, get some extra pipe and straight pipe it with the stock tips....no exhuast smell on mine.

might want to have a shop do it. wont cost that much.

I thought the same thing when i got my Mark. 93. deep jewel green. now i love my color, and would never change it. heh, everyone has a white or black or red one...and they look nice but green is a lotta members secret favorite color Mark. they just wont admit it too much...lol. if i ever got another Mark, i would get a different color, but Ol' Greenie is my baby.

the only mark colors im not fond of is the sf gold and the cream colored one. I would love a cordovan or grey one..

I guess Ill keep it green until one of these moronic Miami drivers hits me.... then we'll see what color I can get them to pay for ;)
