I worked yesterday, came outside this morning to my car and saw this..

really it's no surprise to me as lately over the last month or two I've noticed the car sitting slightly lower in the front after being parked for 24 hours or more but today it was quite a bit lower..may have to do with the temp dropping 20 degrees overnight. It's not completly slammed but deffinetly not where it should be. Granted it does look kind of badass..but i think it's time to shop for a suspension conversion.

Anyone have any suggestions/comments/advice? (besides to keep the air ride) don't want to be relying on used bags and don't want to shell out big bucks for new aftermarket ones..

I've been thinking of doing the american air 1.5" lower kit but have heard that it rides like sh*t, and also I'm concerned about it being too low from pictures I've seen. If I were to find used thunderbird front shocks and buy lowering springs for a cougar/thunderbird, what else would I need to install the stuff? I know there are probably threads out there somewhere but I'd rather hear current opinions..

It's one air shock leaking in the front. Usually you can tell which one just by looking at what side is lower. The other one goes down because it can't hold the weight by itself. If you can handle around $330 to the door, you can get a new OEM, not aftermarket air shock and maybe the next month, get the other side and you'll be set up front for an easy 10+ years, possibly 15 or so.

I know you said not to but "keep the air" :D

Swapping over to a conversion isn't as cheap as most people think, if they want a certain height, certain ride. It turns out you need a particular spring, particular shock, particular bushings and by the time you're done with it all, you could have bought two new OEM air shocks. That's just me though. :shifty:

I'm going to PM you a link.
