I got a Glitch ballast, drilled out the rivets on the old black box, and it is filled with resin or some sort. I did not read anything about that in his instructions.

I was under the impression that the new inverter went in the old black box, seeing as that's how his instructions went? I tried getting it out, but it was liquid when it went in and is pretty tough.

It doesn't go inside the old ballast.

You just need to reuse the base plate.

Re-read the instructions.

noob.....

Anyways, I know does not go inside the old inverter, I thought it went inside the black box, the instructions say to fill the rivet holes with epoxy I just figured the new inverter would use the old black shroud also.

omfg!
you drill the rivets out of the old ballast to seperate it off the base plate, then you throw the factory ballst in the trash, then you attach the new ballast back to the base plate.
