well, since i screwed up my hand alot of my plans this week were thrown off since i had the whole week off for vacation. and i couldnt do a whole lot so i helped my buddy with his boat earlier this week, and since my wife has been using her dads mark VIII for months now, i gave his car an oil change, front brake job since the rotors were warped bad, and i buffed the hell out of it, i love my mequiars buffer even with my hand messed up i had no problem using it. it took me two whole days the car was in such bad shape paint wise. i didnt bother taking before pics bad paint is bad paint everyone has seen it. so here are a few pics after but taken with my phone, he was blown away he is so happy, it was my christmas present to him!

and then today i pulled my 98 inside, ripped off the front bumper and tossed it in the trash, it was full of rock chips everywhere and i wasnt about to repaint it, i had another black bumper in nice shape that i ran the buffer over and put it on my 98, i put the struts in finally that i got last month from a member here now i dont have to have wood on the upper control arms! i insured the car again yesterday and went to the dmv and the mother :q:q:q:qers were closed, i was so pissed i was putting it on the road for my wife for christmas and i couldnt, now i have to take a little time off work this week one day and do it, dammit!! so i pulled the 98 out after all that today and gave her a nice bath the car has been sitting outside for 3 months it looked horrible!

Looking good. If the paint guy sticks to his word and fixes his screw-up on my fender soon, once it's moving again maybe I'll detail it up and mine will look at least 1/2 as clean.

Who's car is the white G2 in the background of the last pic?

if i only had before pics this car didnt even look black it was just loaded with scratches and spider webbing going on everywhere omg i wanted to buff it the day he bought it but i cant do everything i want! actually i didnt want to buff it, but i'm sick of watching him try to wax it, no wax in the world was gonna help this car!

It's one of mine. 1997 with no drivetrain. It's a Jamie project.

Project project. It supposedly has 80 k on the body. Black interior, one owner. But it has NOTHING. No computer, rad, A/C, etc. However, it does have the air ride in tact and is in beautiful shape. I bought it to sell it.

what did you use to buff the car with?

i need to badly buff out my 95. and is it something a 17 year old with good hands can do.

Thanks,

mequiars M105 to cut, M205 for swirl removal and shine, then sealed it with blackfire wet diamond.

did you use a DA or a rotary?

sorry if it feels like im playing 20 questions with you lol.

fluffed and buffed

Jamie thats one hell of a job on that car. That Mark just gleams. It makes me want a black mark for sure now.Thank you again for your help on the springs and loading the pictures last night.

no prob tom, i use a rotary with a wool pad to cut, the rest is all done with my mequiars electric D.A polisher.
