I'm back!!! Behold... The sh!t car... (pictures)

Nice! I wish I could find a hook up like that here in detroit!

better pray they do a nice job wet sanding and buffing, with only one coat of clear i wouldnt be wet sanding it, i would just cut the clear with a buffer and hope it takes out the majority of the orange peel. one coat is thin, wet sanding isnt gonna leave much clear on the car. it does look real good alex but i predict the clear will be faded in less than a year if they wet sand it. specially in that miami sun!

Not to worry. I already found out there are actually 3 coats of clear on the paint. I was wondering how come the paint was so glossy. There's enough clear on that car to have a wonderful time wet sanding & polishing. I can't wait!

Well I learned today not to forget that this car will be my wife's starting next week. I'm very ANAL when it comes to my cars & any door dings, etc... well, my wife & I went to see my grandmother tonight & just 10 minutes ago my wife was parking the car after we got home & she hit the front bumper right below the passenger light up against the silver handrails at my house. The silver handrails can be seen on the 3rd picture I posted on this thread when I was sanding the car. She is HORRIBLE when it comes to parking. Her new Jeep which only has 4,800 miles has a 7 inch wide, half inch tall scratch on the driver's side door from my iron fence & another random 5 inch scratch which she has no idea how it happened. Anyhow, the car will get wet sanded & buffed tomorrow afternoon & Saturday. Hopefully they can fix what she did. After I hand over the keys, the FUTURE sh!t car is not my problem anymore. I won't tell her anything nor will I get all nasty about it. I have my 93 to worry about. Anyway, I'm just venting!

Damn that sucks. It would be nice if they would fix it up for free but that maybe not likely.

And you wouldn't want to see my ride.It has all kinds of jacked up areas on it from my friend who owned it before me.His chair would hit just about everything when pulling it in.

I am really trying to not do the same that way when I get it painted I won't do the same.

if her new car looks how it does, and you know she cant park, why on earth go through the trouble of painting it ? i did the same thing for a customer, spent retarded hours prepping and painting his mark and less than a year later he put a trailer hitch through the grill, ripped a gash in the rear bumper cover, and has banged every single panel off something except the roof, there isnt a straight panel on it anymore the paintjob looks like it was never done.

They fixed it!

The scratch was 4 inches tall & they were able to buff it. You can tell its there but I would have to point it out to ppl.

I painted the car because I love my wife. She just gave up a 2010 car with 4,700 miles on the odometer for a 14 year old 200,000 mile MK8 & she happened to love her SUV & I forced her to give it up due to our financial struggle. The least I can do is paint it nicely for her.

my wife drives like crap too , she has hit everything including the mailman , hses been blind in one eye since she was 8 , i try to hide the mark keys from her but every once in a while she finds them and takes it. she took my new one this morning , first time shes driven it , it already has a dent in the rear so im hoping she gets hit there so insurance will fix it.

My wife knows better than to even go near my Mark VIII.

well she is a woman, and they cant drive, so expect it to get worse, trust me.

I prefer it the opposite way. I want my wife to fall in love with these cars & understand my passion for them. So far, she understands, she likes the car but eventually wants something better.

It was a very cheap car that now looks gorgeous. If it gets worst, it is what it is. She's being careful with it so far after it was buffed, she saw how unhappy I got when she hit the car so she's being careful.

Looks Very Good. Glad the scratch came out. Hopefully thing will go your way for a while.

Yeah man, I'm very happy.

lol she saw how unhappy you got???

does that mean she got her first back hand as a married couple? lolol
