So as many of you know, i went on hiatus about a year ago. Sold out (or rather traded out) for something a bit faster, different, and easier to find parts for. heres some pics of the old car. mods included a tune, hubswap, straight piped and 4.10/traclok.

anyway you get the picture. One ****ty day the ball joint let go as i was leaving my buddies driveway. didnt really **** anything up thankfully but it scared the **** out of me. fixed it and drove it for a bit. although i knew it was fine, a nagging part of the back of my mind never trusted the car again. that coupled with me being tired of having the slowest car in my group of friends prompted me to part ways with it. It goes up on CL and I get a trade offer.... After a long negotiating process this makes it way into my driveway..

$1k well spent... so i thought. 2 weeks after getiing it it develops the loudest most violent rod knock the world has ever heard.... so back on CL it goes. couple days later guy comes, looks and drives it away. he makes it 5 miles then it pukes.

So back to DDing the mustang. Now i knew the motor was getting weak, more specifically low pressure. I was down about 5 mph at the drag strip in way better air and the lifters were making noise. i knew the end was near. So about 3 weeks ago, following a sucessful duck hunt (hatch mustangs actually haul a bunch of **** well) oil pressure drops right as i get home. I park it and its done.

fast forward a week...

now i dont have a pic but the oil pump was scored all to hell and just completely shot. Im in the no car boat at this point. IM trolling craigslist like crazy and come arbitrarily close to getting a clean 96 lsc... wouldnt budge on the price though.
then this pops up. 2 hours later its mine.... 97 opal on ivory, 193k, all the records, 3 keys, service books, the works. long story short im back

futures plans include flipping the wheels so they are on right, painting the base chrome **** body color (lsc style) and maybe true duals. stay tuned........

She's a beaut.

Glad you're back in the family. :)

How does it fair in regards to all the common gen2 issues? How bad is the hail damage?

Just a blend door... but he kinda halfassed fixed it so I have heat

Welcome back, just can't get away from the Mark VIII bug.

BTW it looks like its ivory, color code "BA" rather than white which is "WK".

FYI

Painted my dads Mark VIII for which I used automotivetouchup.com. The first time I ordered it, the paint wasn't "peachy" enough. Still painted the front bumper and grille which doesn't look bad at all if I do say so myself. Sent in a color card, which they matched up and sent me another quart of paint which seems like it will match perfectly. Just haven't had the time to paint with the new color yet.

Here are the results with the first paint I received from them.
